Teerman Lofts

The Teerman Lofts in downtown Holland are the perfect place to stay. I loved the convenience of being right downtown and able to quickly get to all the shops & restaurants. They are well maintained, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had all basic items you would need (fridge, dishwasher, plates, cups, toaster, coffee maker, etc).

My only critique is that the check-in/out times are different than normal (4 pm check-in and 10 am check out), and the new management company was NOT willing to budge on that which I wasn't expecting, so pay attention while booking to ensure that works with your stay/plans. It's fairly normal to request a slightly later check-out or early check-in, so I didn't anticipate that being an issue).

I was able to connect with the original owners -- who are wonderful, and stepped in to help us with adjusting our check out time (to 11 am), due to a major event going on in Holland, so we very much appreciated them making a small exception for us, so we could enjoy the event we were in town for.

Thank you again for such a wonderful stay! We'll be back. :)

I've enjoyed staying at the Teerman lofts off season for several years on overnight getaways. The last time was March 2025 and cost around $225. I give that experience five stars. It was lovely and reasonably priced on the shoulder season. Recently I was very disappointed to see that the property is now being managed by BVW Unsalted Vacation Rentals with a three night minimum including over $300 in taxes and fees. Holland is nice but there isn't enough to do downtown for me to want to spend three nights at more than $1000 a visit. I hope they reinstate shorter stays on the shoulder seasons.

Teerman Lofts has changed how I will visit Holland in the future. Never again will I stay in a traditional hotel. The loft was clean, spacious, modern and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Located right in the middle of the main strip, it was super convenient to walk out and walk right into restaurants and shops. Highly recommend and will be back!

Teerman Lofts is our favorite place to stay while in Holland, MI. We feel at home in the condo-setting, with a full kitchen and living room and large bedroom with ample closet space. Very clean and comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out process. We also love the view of 8th Street and all the shops within walking distance.

We stayed in one of the 3d floor "apartments." Super clean, modern, great kitchen, just fantastic all the way around. Lots of closet spaces throughout. Huge living room. 15 foot high loft-style ceilings. Way more fun and way more practical than a hotel --- but priced the same as a nice hotel.

The common facilities on the second floor are also new, modern and very clean. Laundry room is user friendly. Trash/recycle room is spotless and odor free at all times. Trash removed 7 days per week.

The owners are on top of this place.

Location is the best possible for Holland, Michigan. The front door opens onto the sidewalk on the iconic 8th Street "pedestrian mall," which is wall to wall shops, restaurants and pubs. You literally walk down from your room into the middle of the best shopping and dining in the entire City,

Caution: Not recommended for folks over 75 years of age. No elevator. No ground floor rooms. Gotta carry luggage, groceries, etc up LONG flights of stairs. For everyone else ---its worth the effort

Perfect stay, super clean and well appointed, much more than what a hotel room has to offer. Only complaint (from the girls) was, there was only one mirror. We loved stepping out the front door and being steps from our favorite stores. Great memories made with my wife and girls.

Perfect location!

Holland is simply an enchanting town, especially during Tulip Time! Fantastic people, food, and sightseeing. Our stay at Teerman Lofts was perfect. Right in the center of downtown, walking distance to many restaurants, amenities, and activities. Great parking, and very attentive staff. Highly rated. Will definitely be back to Holland, staying at Teerman Lofts.

The space was Very clean and well supplied. It was an excellent space to relax and entertain a few friends. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The location downtown is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Parking was convenient.

Best place to stay in Holland. The location being right in the downtown area is key for location no matter what you're doing or where you're going. This small loft hotel is clean, offers a full kitchen set up and great views of the downtown. We try to stay here each time we come to Holland....you won't be sorry!

The loft is in a fantastic location in downtown Holland! The space is more of an apartment than a hotel room. The loft is spacious, clean, and well appointed! We have stayed here twice and will be back again. Great value and would definitely recommend!

Teerman Lofts is the best place to stay in Holland

The loft was clean and comfortable. Great location to all the stores and restaurants.
The only suggestion would be that the owners could provide better coffee for the coffee maker. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

I adored staying at the Teerman Lofts and would love to stay again! I was just traveling by myself and my room - The Huron - was perfect. Very clean, spacious, decorated nicely, and a great location in the heart of Holland. I also found the room to be a great value for the price! Next time I go to Holland I will stay there.

We came for an overnight stay during the week. The room was right in the heart of the downtown shopping district. Great view, nice clean space, comfy bed. Owner was friendly and contacted me to make sure everything was ok. Full kitchen was nice. I will definitely return.

This is the third time we've stayed in the Michigan Room at Teerman Lofts while in Holland for a swim meet at the HAC. We've been coming to Holland for meets for over a decade and have stayed in many hotels in the area. Teerman is by far our favorite. We've loved having the convenience of being right in downtown Holland while also enjoying more space than a traditional hotel would give us. The bed is comfortable, and the living room couch is great for an afternoon nap. We didn't cook any elaborate meals, but the kitchen had everything we needed. Check-in and out was very easy. We arrived in town early and emailed to ask if we could check in early. Jeff responded right away and was very accommodating. Our son's swim career is ending, but we'll always think of the Teerman Loft as our home-away-from-home in Holland.

Excellent location and view of busy 8th street in downtown Holland, Michigan. Nice accommodation with a full kitchen, well appointed living room, and comfortable king bed. Love the tile in the bathroom too! It’s a mix of modern and traditional charm.

We absolutely love staying at the Teerman Lofts! The location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of downtown Holland, close to everything you need, whether it’s shopping, dining, or attractions. The hotel itself is cozy, well-maintained, and has all the amenities you could want. The owners are incredibly sweet and make you feel right at home. Check-in and check-out are always smooth and hassle-free, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning every time we’re in town!

A great space in a perfect location!

You pull in to a shared parking lot. It took a little bit of driving around, but you figured it out. You punch a code into an electronically locked door, and try to open the door. clack. No good. The light turned green. That's weird. Hm. You punch it in again. CLACK. Still nothing. 3 more tries. Nothing. a 6th try does the trick. You try not to pay attention to the dread following you, breathing right down your neck. Grab your key from a semi-public safe just inside. 30 steps up, and 10 to the right, and the first of many floorboards creaks ominously beneath you. You don't know it yet, but this is a harbinger of what's to come.

Area around the property: The area around this student housing turned apartments is fantastic, and fills you with hope. Unfortunately, this is part of the illusion.

Cleanliness: The inside of the building seemed to be clean, though most of the silverware had waterspots. Nothing bad there

Staff & service: There's no front reception. There's just a number you can tell, but its the couple who owns it; noone on premesis

Property condition & facilities: This was the deal breaker. Every single floorboard creaks, and makes you feel like you could fall through at any moment. Paint is clinging by a thread to the ceiling, and there are gashes in the walls. The bedroom isn't closed off - very bad for insomnia/trouble sleepers.

Just feels dangerous. Stayed in a different hotel. Vacation ruined. Don't know how it got a 4 star rating without staff.
