Everything was perfect, they give a whole new definition to professionalism, cleanliness and accommodation, 10/10 would recommend to anyone who visits Tokyo.
Is a great hotel, with 5 start services in all aspects
Everything was perfect!
This is a first class hotel. First time I have stayed there since its rebuild and it’s fabulous.
The best breakfast for me. The room has 180 degree excellent view include the bathroom.
The room was beautiful and clean and the view was magnificent.
The service at the Okura was mediocre at best. All staff acted cold and didn't try to make the guests feel welcomed, they were just following their rule book like robots. At a hotel like the Okura, that many think of as the best hotel in Japan, I'd expect hospitality at the best level. This time wasn't like that. Also, the staff is very unexperienced and they are training new staff at check in. I'd expect to receive easy and quick service, not for me to have to instruct the staff.
The Okura is a hotel that houses some of the most important international guests in Tokyo, however the staff's English level was horrible. They really couldn't understand almost anything. I acknowledge that this is Japan, but I expected the Okura to treat international guests with warmth.
The room was beautiful and clean, however there were many faults. Water was served in cartons and the soap was mediocre at best. There was no welcome note and our room was cleaned without our permission. I find it weird that a hotel at this level is saving on these products. Even if it seems small, it's something that makes the guests feel welcomed.
The best things about the room were the exceptional view and the kind lady who brought our breakfast there and offered a daily news paper with it. These were the only things that made the stay slightly enjoyable.
When leaving the hotel we were instructed to a taxi in front of the hotel. When the taxi dropped us off, he was about to drive off with our luggage. I had to chase him into the street knocking on his window for him to stop. Also the taxi company charged my card twice. Were these accidents or not, it's unacceptable to offer such taxi services at a hotel like the Okura.
When I called the hotel about these complaints, they didn't understand anything at all. This is the kind of service I'd expect at a cheap hostel, not the Okura.
Kein frischer Orangensaft. Teller werden nicht abgeräumt.
