Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Sandusky South

I wanted a receipt of my hundred dollar deposit, they were unable to give me a receipt and told me I had to contact booking.com! They couldn’t print me anything out showing proof of my stay. And also it takes 21 days minimum to get your hundred dollar deposit back which I was not expecting to go through that. It affected my entire trip and we were out of food money at Cedar point because of the 21 day hold on the deposit. Also, while checking in one of the staff members told me even though it says that I will get it back with an a matter of 3 to 4 days, but the next staff member told me that she don’t know what that lady was talking about and it will definitely be at least 21 days.

Stayed here for a night only on my way to Chicago from Niagara city. Clean place for a short stay. Breakfast was the bonus

The room was very clean and the double bed room was definitely enough space for a family of 4 that don't mind sharing space. The bathroom was very clean as well with more than enough space and it didn't make you feel like you were in a box like a lot of other bathrooms do.

The breakfast offered make your own waffles which were great. The lobby is small but trays are there to take to rooom. Fruit is available and milk and OJ. Room is comfortable and the hotel is less than 5-10 minutes away. I would highly recommend hotel.

We stayed in the family suite w 2 double beds and a pull out couch. The room was spacious, clean, and came equipped with everything we needed for 6 of us (soap, towels, bedding, pillows) usually you have to ask for extra towels, pillows/bedding for couch bed. The shower had great pressure and hot water. It’s right off the main road and it’s only a short 9 minute drive to CP. The breakfast is simple and satisfying (waffles, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee). The suites are located on the second floor with no elevator but the stairs are interior and being on the second floor with only 3 other rooms made for a very quiet stay. The price was nearly half than that of others in the area which was my selling point.

Staff was exceptional. Felt very safe and secure. Room smelled clean and look clean. Felt comfortable for the price it was great. The issue was "bed bugs". My wife was bitten several times and found one crawling on her. It was a bummer because if that wouldn't have happened, we would have been repeat customers.

It was clean and comfortable for one night and close to Cedar Point.

Location was great. Distance to Lake Erie, the shore, docks, great eateries was fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. AC, bathroom, water pressure were excellent. The pool was simple and n8ce to have. Signage about children, walking across parking lot are important and should be given attention.

The Econolodge in Sandusky is clean, centrally-located, is a great value, and was the best option for us while traveling with our dog. I would gladly stay there again.
