Great budget Cedar Point hotel
Pros:

The breakfast offered make your own waffles which were great. The lobby is small but trays are there to take to rooom. Fruit is available and milk and OJ. Room is comfortable and the hotel is less than 5-10 minutes away. I would highly recommend hotel.

Overall, very enjoyable, comfortable, and affordable stay! Would stay again!
Pros:

We stayed in the family suite w 2 double beds and a pull out couch. The room was spacious, clean, and came equipped with everything we needed for 6 of us (soap, towels, bedding, pillows) usually you have to ask for extra towels, pillows/bedding for couch bed. The shower had great pressure and hot water. It’s right off the main road and it’s only a short 9 minute drive to CP. The breakfast is simple and satisfying (waffles, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee). The suites are located on the second floor with no elevator but the stairs are interior and being on the second floor with only 3 other rooms made for a very quiet stay. The price was nearly half than that of others in the area which was my selling point.

Cons:

None of the beds were comfortable however, after 2 long exhaustive days at CP, that wasn’t a problem.

Staff good critters bad
Pros:

Staff was exceptional. Felt very safe and secure. Room smelled clean and look clean. Felt comfortable for the price it was great. The issue was "bed bugs". My wife was bitten several times and found one crawling on her. It was a bummer because if that wouldn't have happened, we would have been repeat customers.

Would Stay Again for a Night or Two

Nice stay.
Pros:

Location was great. Distance to Lake Erie, the shore, docks, great eateries was fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. AC, bathroom, water pressure were excellent. The pool was simple and n8ce to have. Signage about children, walking across parking lot are important and should be given attention.

Cons:

The dining and shopping around the hotel was filled with franchise eateries and shops/stores. Get in your car and search. The pier district is the exception.

The cable svc didn't offer Sports or Movie channels. Better mattress, please.

Great, affordable stay
Pros:

The Econolodge in Sandusky is clean, centrally-located, is a great value, and was the best option for us while traveling with our dog. I would gladly stay there again.

Clean and very friendly staff.
Pros:

Very nice location. Very clean. Convenient to sportsplex where our grandson played ball.

Cons:

Breakfast had no fruit. 2 nights we had neighbors that were quite destructive in the next room. We were woke up in the night by the people in that room and our a/c was drawing the smell of pot into our room.

I'd stay at Econo Lodge South again. Recommended hotel to friends.
Pros:

The room was clean. We enjoyed the pool. The staff was polite and helpful when asked questions about bus stops and needing clean towels.

Nothing negative to report.
