The beds. Too high for my wife and easy to roll off accidentally.
Perfect location to visit colleges for the weekend. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Continental breakfast was great. Coffee and variety of juices with scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage, potatoes with choices of fruit, cereal, bagel, etc. They even had gluten-free options!
There were no negatives to report.
Great hotel for visiting St. Lawrence University and 1,000 Islands region. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean with all the usual amenities. Nice breakfast buffet with hot and cold items. Very pleased with my brief stay and highly recommend this hotel.
This room was the room of dead things. I immediately walked in and there is no light. The only light that I could find was the night lights by the bed, which I felt was a little bit weird, but now I know why.
I went to the window and there was an electronic blind that wasn’t working at all. I moved the blind back and there was a sea of dead flies and other bugs. And flies buzzing around. I probably could’ve lived with this but then I discovered other dead bugs…the ones you never ever want to see when you are staying at a hotel. At that point, this was a risk I wasn’t able to take. I spoke with the person at the front desk, she tried to fix the blind and get some of the dead bugs from the window sill. When I mentioned the other bugs, the terrible ones, she said they were dead, they spray for them every few months and she has never brought them home to her family, so I should be good.
At this point, it wasn’t a risk I was willing to take. I had to drive over an hour to sleep somewhere else.
