Good hotel to stay at.
Pros:

Good location for motorbike event at Squires Cafe. Room clean and a decent size bathroom with combined bath and shower all nice and clean and plenty of sockets to charge kit etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal of Lasgane was a good sized portion and tasty,meal and three beers came to around £38 if memory serves me right. Breakfast chosen from a good sized menu had fresh produce freshly cooked and good quality ( full English) a good selection of fruit, cereals and pastrys is available. Hotel isnt really near any night life or other pubs but is ideal for a quiet stop over.

Cons:

Better secure parking for motorbikes would be appreciated as it is parking is at front of hotel so if your on a bike make sure you have good locks and maybe a cover as there is a main road out front.

Convenient for our trip up north
Pros:

Comfy bed

Cons:

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night waking us all up and was told it was a false alarm.
The air con wasn’t working and I’m pretty sure they knew it wasn’t but put us in the room anyway. We arrived too late in the evening to insist on a change but it was very stuffy.

Ideally located, clean and tidy, paying for parking should be mentioned with the property during the booking process.

Was clean and tidy although it should state you have to pay for parking.

Cons:

The only issues in the hotel was the heat, this was during the heat weave in June the room was like a small oven the AC was broken.

The staff was really nice plus the entrance looked promising

Cons:

The air-conditioning didn't work, the windows couldn't open . There was literally no air in the room and about 40 degrees . The room wasn't clean. We had cobwebs on the lamps , in the bathroom and in the corners of the room. The floor wasn't vacuumed and there was dust everywhere. We found a public hair in the toilet and there was no toilet brush. There was a massive stain on the ceiling and mold in the bathroom. The pillows were dusty . The hallway stunk. They gave us free parking because of the lack of air-conditioning but we couldn't get any sleep because there was no air in that room. It just felt dirty

Room was very nice and clean staff were amazing and the food was very good

Cons:

The room was unbearable in the heat with no window to open and the air conditioning was not working the owner really needs to sort it out . No fault of the staff they were very helpful

I didn’t it was shocking only good if you could sleep in a sauna…
Pros:

Arrived went to room, air con not working, windows screwed shut, called reception they came up and said they would reset the heating, 20 mins passed it was like a sauna, went to reception to ask for a room change but problem was there was already two people waiting for exactly the same reason, I was told the duty manager would attend the room, I was last in the queue so had to wait, he attended checked air con stated that an engineer had removed a component likely to repair another room and it would not work as a result, I check booking.com and it stated 5 executive rooms were available but when checked was told 3 were dirty and the other two the aircon didn’t work, I requested a refund, still waiting for the car parking money back…

Disappointed
Pros:

The staff were friendly. The cooked breakfast was excellent

Cons:

We have enjoyed previous stays at the hotel but this time it looks very tired. The carpet in the bedroom was well worn.
The cleanliness could be improved . We were not not informed that it was necessary to put the card in the door to have the room serviced.

Nice but hot and stuffy
Pros:

The room was very good and very clean, the staff helpful and quick, most of experience was very good.

Cons:

The shower pressure wasn't too good, making showering a little less enjoyable.
The largest problem was the lack of air movement in the room. The staff helped us to get the vent to work and provided a second fan. What would have been better is being able to open the window.
