Comfortable one night stay, but very tight quarters.
Pros:

The location of this hotel was the main reason we booked. Lovely area near the park and close to where we needed to be. All of the staff were very kind and welcoming, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The room was tiny and we didn't appreciate our room being right outside of the elevator, or looking out to at a brick wall from a tiny window in the room.

Short walk to pubs, restaurants, spas, good shops.
Pros:

They make an extra effort. The coffee, tea and pastry is excellent. Lovely lobby. Doormen always keeping an eye out. Friendly staff. Spacious deco bathroom. Very comfortable and quiet stay. Fantastic location.

Cons:

Pricy but comparatively good value, better amenities than Chelsea hotels and midtown hotels I have stayed in.

Wonderful hotel full of character in a great location
Pros:

Hotel team were fabulous. Friendly & helpful.
I requested a fridge so we could keep drinks cold (heatwave while we were there). It was in our room within minutes 😀
Location was great. A couple of minutes from Washington Square Park & the nearest subway with great links both uptown & downtown. Fantastic restaurants/bars/cafe, all within a short walk.
Pastries (free of charge) available in the lobby with unlimited tea, coffee & ice cold water. Juice in the morning.
Room was comfortable (air con was very welcome) & clean with toiletries including hand/body lotion which is always a plus for me.
Our room was on the 6th floor, with a small view of the park. Lift was efficient and we found the room to be quiet.
Lots of character. Loved the nod to art deco.
In all, a wonderful place, we would definitely stay again

Cons:

I like the character but some may find the fittings & decor it a bit tired in the rooms & corridors.
I knew the restaurant & bar were closed for refurbishment but didn't note that the gym was also out of action.
