A gem in the village
Pros:

Absolute perfection! I had a wonderful stay at Washington Square Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated at the corner of Washington Square Park, so it's like a calm oasis in the heart of bustling Manhattan. Plus, the vibe of NYU's college campus is invigorating.
The accommodations were spotless - my room was clean, well appointed, and maintained with daily housekeeping. The bed was comfortable, the shower was refreshing, and all amenities were decidedly upscale.
Morning coffee was delicious, and alive with hotel guests.
The staff was exceedingly friendly, and always available to answer questions.
I'm very much looking forward to my next stay!

Average in a location that I needed and liked.
Pros:

The location, the staff (especially the lovely cleaning lady). The bathroom and shower were great. But it was location, location and location. Nice

Cons:

There was not a glass to drink from in my room (not even paper) and I did not get the wake-upcall I had requested. [I was charging my phone so I did not have an alarm] I think it was a bit expensive for a very small room called "superior."

Charmed in the City!
Pros:

My room was charming, clean, and offered a spectacular view of the city! The staff were friendly, polite, professional and helpful; housecleaning ensured my accommodations stayed stocked and immaculate!

Comfortable rooms overlooking Washington Square Park
Pros:

I chose Washington Square for it's great location. Appreciated the friendly reception staff who suggested good restaurants and transit routes. When a large winter storm rolled in the cafe served as a comfortable place to warm up and visit with friends. A home away from home.

It was an okay experience
Pros:

Value for the price. Clean, nice staff, no frills, room size for the perfect traveler who just needs a comfortable bed to sleep in. It had everything I needed. Would stay here again - in the summer!

Cons:

I liked everything except couldnt control the heat - the radiator was scalding hot. At one point it was 80 degrees, so I had to open the windows a crack and then it got cold again and drafty, but I ended up calibrating it the right way, but interrupted my sleep.

A great stay in the heart of the village !
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Washington Square Hotel. There was a nice breakfast included and the room was cosy. The hotel is right by Washington Square and close toThe Comedy Cellar, Bitter End & Blue Note and a couple of metro stations, which is really good news in the winter time when walking around in NYC can be very chilly !
