Decent hotel, weird recommendations
Pros:

The hotel was decent with a great location. The hotel room was vintage. A bit old fashioned, but also vintage.

Cons:

I had some need from my work among others getting some prints that was not possible to get help to. I also asked for recommendation for breakfast and was adviced to go to McDonald although the pub next door served breakfast. The staff seem liked they did not really kniw the city.

I would come back to this hotel but choose a room in the second floor if we want an unobstructed view
Pros:

Good location comfortable , quiet if you have an ocean view

Cons:

We had an ocean view but there was chicken wire in all the Windows so it felt like a prison not a view !
The room was clean but we found mold behind a heater .

Classic, centrally located and spacious rooms at unbeatable prices!
Pros:

Room was very spacious, staff were excellent

Cons:

No option for early check in, we had to sit in our car and wait for three hours before we could check in.

Awful, stressful, a waste of money and time on vacay
Pros:

We got ripped off. We had to find another room. It was too uncomfortable.

Cons:

There were none of the amenities as listed on website. The room looked completely different. There were stains on the floor, holes in the walls. It smelled bad. The bed was in the bathroom. There was supposedly parking lot, but we drove around for an hour and couldn’t find it. I could go on but you get the picture. We ended up taking the hit and finding another room. When we check out, there were two other couples doing the same thing as us (checking out immediately after checking in). This might be a known scam for the locals. I felt super dumb for trusting the listing.

Beautiful historic building right downtown. 100% Recommend. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.

Pros:

It was fine - not exceptional

Cons:

I didn't use the kitchen, except boiled some water, but I saw several pans there, but no cutlery in evidence. How could you use them, unless you brought your own utensils. No microwave that I could see.

We will stay again for sure but maybe request a specific room.
Pros:

Easy to get around

Cons:

We’ve stayed before and absolutely loved it. This time we were in a different area and it was very loud. We could hear people flushing and showering and talking etc. The room was just super odd really.

awesome location for downtown Victoria , comfortable and good price, we will stay again for sure.
