Convenient and Angela in housekeeping is a rock star
Charging $25 a day to park outside. Clerk at check had a sarcastic attitude. No ice machine on every floor and the one on 2nd floor did not work.
pas possible de commander de capuccino au petit déjeuner...
small parking lot
Staff is awesome..
Location is outstanding. We've stayed here dozens of times and are booked for a week in the near future.
Location and excellent beds!
Hard to roll luggage on carpets
It was clean and comfortable
The sketchy hotel next door, pay for breakfast pay for parking which $24.00 a day for parking was crazy. Didn’t offer decaf coffee. One of the staff members was great the not so much.
Great location. Very clean. Staff was very friendly & professional
Simple et pratique , literie très confortable
Chambre calme et plutôt grande
Parking devant l’hôtel facile d accès
Manque de cachet , décoration basique
Assez impersonnel
Location to all tourist sites in St. Augustine
Pay to park car& not adequate parking spots
Hotel needs a facelift, several things in my room did not work- one thing that is concerning is that they charge $25 a day for parking- So when you book the room there whatever the price is, you cannot stay there for that price since they do no let you know about parking fees, unless you read the fine print on the property- so if you are driving and on a budget there are Hampton Inn's close by- I would not stay there again, this does not keep up the high standards of other Doubletree's -
Great stay. Location was excellent, we walked everywhere (the fountain of youth, the fort, downtown, etc.), only needed the car to get to the lighthouse and gatorland. The ac was cool and the bed comfy. And of course the cookie was delicious 😋.
The water in st augustine is horrible, the hotel was no different, but they did provide 2 complimentary bottles of water. The water pressure in the shower was poor, the temperature was hard to regulate and fluctuated from hot to cold! The hot tub was not working the first night, but by the second night it was good to go.
Location is perfect. Across the street from Our Lady of La Leche. Walking distance to Old Town. The trolley drives by. Went with my daughter. Room is a nice size, beds were comfortable. Bathroom is big, has all the amenities. There's a mini fridge, iron. Very clean. Lobby is also nice, they have coffee and water. There's a gym, restaurant and bar. Free wi-fi. Parking is extra. Will definitely stay there again.
Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
At check-in, the front desk agent was rude and uninterested. She made comments implying that the area was unsafe, clearly to upsell us on paid parking. We were told, “Don’t look up when your windows get smashed in... it happens.” This felt inappropriate and misleading, especially since street parking in the area is free and commonly used. And the area is very safe.
Once in the room, the issues only escalated. The room had an unpleasant smell, and the bedding was unacceptable. All four pillows were visibly sweat-stained, and the bedding itself was disgusting. To their credit, another staff member was very kind and helped change the bedding with us.
After finally settling in, I went to take a shower, only to discover extensive mold in the bathroom. We reported this to the front desk employee, who moved to a new room.
Unfortunately, the second room had the exact same issues: smell, four sweat-stained pillows, dirty bedding, and mold in the shower. At that point, we had no confidence that the situation would improve, so we checked out and left the hotel entirely.
We also contacted Hilton customer service, but they did not meaningfully help resolve the situation. The only alternative offered was moving us to a hotel at roughly half the price of what we originally paid, which was not an acceptable solution given that the issue was cleanliness and standards, not a preference downgrade.
We ultimately stayed at the AC Hotel St. Augustine at a similar price point, and the contrast could not have been clearer: spotless room, clean bedding, modern facilities, and a genuinely friendly and professional front desk staff.
For a Hilton-branded hotel, the cleanliness standards, front desk conduct, and lack of effective customer service were unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
I picked this hotel for two reason. First it was close to town.As an older couple it took us about 20 minutes to get into restaurants.
Second was the EV charging station. They only have one and it's NOT a fast charger. It's a level 2 charger.
If you want Wifi you have to be a honors member. You can't download anything.
They do have free coffee available in the morning with hot water for tea but no decaf coffee was available .
They have a small restaurant where you can breakfast for between 15-17 dollars. If you walk up the street Dennys has a good breakfast.
Room was clean but rug should be replaced.
The staff was pleasant when speaking with them. The bed area of the room was comfortable and it was a nice touch having my name welcome me on the TV
The shower wouldn’t drain, the toilet was having trouble flushing and it took me 2 days and asking 2 times and a backed up toilet to finally get it to be fixed. For the price I paid I felt a reimbursement or free meal or something would have been nice to offer. It was hugely inconvenient and made the trip a lot less pleasant and a lot more frustrating.
Had to try 3 rooms before there was one with hot water.
Found out later this is an ongoing problem
Clean, comfortable room, walking distance to old town, friendly staff, water and coffee in lobby
