Fantastic location, old world charm, somewhat expensive
Pros:

Location, history, spaciousness. Old world grandeur. Large rooms. Great bed, nice towels.

Cons:

Check in was not welcoming. No explanation of facilities etc.
pillows were awful and no alternative
Poor water pressure / hot water in shower.
A bit expensive

Some of the furnishings eg chairs need to be cleaned and re upholstered.

Cons:

We just didn't get a chance to explore the hotel and use the facilities.
Could only stay one night in the city but the bed was worth it! And the pillows - WOW!

Our recent stay at Hotel Windsor was deeply disappointing. Aside from courteous service at arrival,

I wish to formally express our disappointment regarding our recent stay.

The breakfast offering was distinctly underwhelming on a Saturday Morning particularly given the reputation and positioning of the Windsor as a high-end establishment.

The absence of a buffet option was unexpected and detracted from what should have been a premium guest experience.

More concerning, however, was the quality of the bed and mattress. It was, without exaggeration, the most uncomfortable we have encountered in a hotel of this purported standard.

A property of this calibre ought to prioritise guest comfort as a fundamental element of its offering.
Additionally, there was a visible stain on the bed sheets, which is wholly unacceptable in any hotel environment, let alone one presenting itself as a luxury venue.

Standards of housekeeping should, at minimum, reflect basic hygiene and attention to detail.

Whilst we are relieved not to have paid more than $,1100 for the stay, this remains a considerable sum for what proved to be, at best, a reasonable room and a thoroughly disappointing overall experience.

We trust this matter will be taken seriously and reviewed internally to ensure future guests do not encounter similar shortcomings.

Cons:

Whilst the gentleman at the front desk was exceptional — welcoming us warmly, assisting with our luggage and facilitating parking with efficiency and courtesy — regrettably, that is where the positive aspects of our stay concluded.

Beyond that initial interaction, the overall experience was profoundly underwhelming.

The standard of the room did not align with the expectations one would reasonably hold of a property positioning itself as high-end.

The bed and mattress were extremely uncomfortable, detracting significantly from our ability to rest. Furthermore, the presence of a visible stain on the bed sheets was unacceptable and indicative of inadequate housekeeping standards.

The breakfast offering was similarly disappointing. The absence of a buffet and the limited selection available did not reflect the quality or refinement one would anticipate at this level of accommodation.
