All in all, we had a good stay and the staff encounters were excellent.
Pros:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The remote was missing the battery cover. There didn't seem to be enough outlets accessible for charging and the alarm clock was not working.

Good, easy stay in downtown St Paul.
Pros:

Easy public transportation from the airport almost to the door. As a solo traveler this was welcome. Easy walk to many interesting downtown museums and places to eat. Standard big hotel everything with exceptionally helpful staff.

Cons:

I had breakfast in the restaurant and I would not recommend it. Compared to the area restaurants, it was overpriced for the quality available. Area restaurants are wonderful.

Beautiful property
Pros:

The property is beautiful

Cons:

The breakfast was not good at all. There was zero flavor to the eggs, potatoes were soggy and cold. The sausage was good. Having Bloody Mary's or Mimosas offered would have been wonderful. Lastly,we paid for our parking in cash at checkout and was told out ticket would lift the gate...it didn't. We had to swipe a card to get out. However, I messaged the property and was refunded the parking cost.

Pros:

Location was excellent and price was very reasonable. Rooms were clean. Liked having a comfortable chair in the room and we had a nice view of downtown St. Paul.

Cons:

Hotel needs some updating. Hallway carpet was old, faded and rippling. Elevator shakes and makes loud noises like it’s going to break down anytime. Comforter on our king size bed had old stains on it. Shower / tub in bathroom was slippery but thankfully there was a bar on the wall. Needs more USB outlets for charging electronics.
