Traveling from Seattle to SoCal with dogs, could not find a better stop. Near the freeway exit, beautiful grounds, great restaurant, off lead dog park….nice rooms and nice people.
The hotel and grounds were stunning. Everything else was OK. No breakfast until 7 AM? Dinner was bland, I expected better given the fresh vegetables from the huge greenhouse.
This is an unexpected oasis! Very Clean and nice grounds for walking about after a long day of travel. We will stay again and again on our way to Palm Springs each year.
Great property; great food; helpful staff; clean rooms. Definitely worth the stop!
For being rated as 3 stars when I made my reservation, the ambience beauty of the grounds felt like 5 star quality.
The front desk staff were professional but also very friendly and we talked about my dogs. They have a new dog park, there's dog treats around the grounds. They have dog rooms with dog bowls and dog beds so you can bring the dogs with you.
It was my first time there for a Galentines getaway. Already planning to return with my husband, son, and 3 dogs for Mothers Day.
Their on site restaurant has a 6 page menu and gourmet food, some of which is grown in their greenhouse.
Highly recommend the crab cakes and the veggies and pasta in white wine sauce plus added grilled salmon to it.
Complimentary filtered water to refill water bottles and unlimited coffee in their lobby area.
Mini fridge in room wasn't the tiny square model at cheap motels. It was bigger and had room for our leftovers.
The Hotel Mission de Oro is a treasure for us. I stop there twice a year on my way to artist workshops in San Luis Obispo. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the Spanish and Old Western artwork in the hotel is so beautiful. The staff at the front desk are most helpful, the grounds are beautiful, and the Kitchen! The restaurant is par excellence. The food is amazing, the wait staff is accommodating and helpful. I will continue to make Hotel Mission de Oro my overnight stop of choice for as long as I am attending the art workshops.
I was so very pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem! I drive by here all the time and have heard great things about it, but didn't realize how special it truly was. The grounds are gorgeous and it has it all: Bocce ball, a pool, hot tub, tennis and basketball court, green house where they grow produce for their on site restaurant, and we even got a room upgrade with a courtyard view from our balcony and free chocolate chip cookies upon check in. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous and right on theme.
Beautiful grounds. Great art pieces. Reat food. Rooms clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Awesome stay!!
Stayed on the second floor, courtyard patio room. So very nice and comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful. The gardens and green house are amazing. A great place for weddings too. The restaurant was very good and service excellent. We will stay here again when traveling through.
The BEST hotel and place to stay in Santa Nella. Large courtyard with koi fish and turtle ponds. Very quiet and romantic. Hotel restaurant and everything you need for either a personal escape or romantic stay. Staff are very friendly. Wine museum on site and just an incredible jewel. I say check it out.
Great experience, fantastic customer service, beautiful grounds and the food at the restaurant was DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
Clean. Grounds are kept nice, good relaxing environment if you need to walk or get fresh air in the courtyard.
Comfortable place to stay while passing through,
Parking was easy, checking in was easy, the area is beautiful. Our bed unfortunately was super uncomfortable thatvi woke up several times during at night. It was weird. I had never experienced an issue with uncomfortable hotel bed before, so definitely a first. The staff for the most part were sweet and welcoming but my wife did experience some irritation from rhe staff when she called down for a late check out.
Beautiful place.
Clean and comfortable. Very dog friendly. What a fine surprise location near Pea Soup Anderson. Tesla chargers. Very nice dinner menu.
Cute hotel. Great outdoor atmosphere.
Very nice stay in well managed hotel along I-5. Everything is comfortable and the central plaza/courtyard provide beautiful walking grounds.
The location and restaurant would get 5 stars. However the hotel front desk staff, and rooms would get a 1. We booked a King deluxe 3 months in advance. Asked for a specific location, and were promised that location. After booking and receiving a confirmation letter, I actually called to confirm the room. Was told "all good". However, upon check in was told, the rooms were not available. When I gave the date of booking and showed correspondence, was told. Sorry. When I asked to speak to a manager a very young 20 something told me "I am". There is no one else you can speak to. When I inquired about our room I was told it was given away and they gave the rooms to people who checked in sooner. We checked in at 1:30pm. After about 5 min we accepted our non requested, non spacious room for $225.00 per night. I have never left a bad review for any hotel, but this was horrible and the customer service rude at best. The restaurant, and bar was amazing and we would definitely go back to that, but will never stay again.
I booked this overnight stay as a surprise for my wife. We wanted to visit my father's burial site at the Veterans Cemetery on our way to Lake Tahoe. We now found our favorite escape from Orange County. Every aspect of our overnight stay was a 5 Diamond experience. The check in, the room, the restaurant, and the grounds. We walked the onsite vineyard, looked into the onsite hot house were fresh vegetables are growing and walked the garden. We will be back and have already recommended this beautiful Hotel to our friends.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, but way overpriced. Options are limited in that area so they ask for a premium. The hotel restaurant is overpriced and meal was bland. Porterhouse was $52 and was the thickness of a flank steak. Sides were dry and most likely from the day before.
