Housekeeping should be improved.
great room with balcony, but hotel has very little amenities - restaurant / bar / coffee shop. Gym is very small / tight (had 4 people in it and we were on top of each other). But location great and staff very helpful.
Large, clean room with lighted bathroom mirror, hair dryer, mini kitchen that included mini fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee, tea all great for extended stay. Helpful doorman, bellhops, concierge. Top notch service.
Nothing, everything great!
Nothing
Unfortunately, Lombardi Hotel New York was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had.
The biggest problem starts with the photos. In my opinion, the pictures shown on Booking.com do not correspond to the actual rooms. I booked a room based on the photos and description, but the room I received looked like it came from a completely different hotel, or perhaps from a very sad parallel universe.
At reception, the explanation was that “all rooms are decorated differently.” This sounds charming in theory, but in practice it seems to mean that none of the rooms look like the ones you actually choose online. After seeing several rooms, I can honestly say that I did not find a single one that matched the photos of the room category I booked. It felt a bit like ordering a Mercedes Maybach and being handed the keys to an old Fiat with one headlight and a philosophical attitude to comfort.
But misleading photos would not be the worst part if the rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, they were not. The rooms are old, worn out, poorly maintained, and dirty. The first room had almost no proper lighting at all — basically, the entire room was lit by a desk lamp. For a room of that size, it created the atmosphere of either a detective movie or a storage room that accidentally became available on Booking.com.
The lighting in general is very poor, and the ventilation is even worse. There were unpleasant smells in the room, and opening the window did not help. Instead of fresh air, I got a mixture of kitchen smells, garbage smells, and something else that I honestly prefer not to identify. So you cannot really breathe inside, and you cannot properly air the room either. A very unique concept.
The service was also weak and unhelpful. The rooms are tired, old, and do not match the description. The whole experience felt uncomfortable from
The suites are head and shoulders above the minuscule closets that other like hotels are offering. The premium location is close to fabulous retail, numerous restaurants and bars, and multiple modes of transportation.

I submitted comments with possible improvements to be made
No porper black out curtains in the bedroom, alway awake at 05:45
The matress wasn´t flat
A washlet or bidet would greatly improve the bathroom
Apartment hotel tucked away in midtown manhattan within walking distance of many sites , major museums and cultural venues. Unique rooms with comfortable furnishings. Wonderful approachable staff to make your visit flawless.
The location, and the space
We loved our brief stay at this wonderful, convenient, clean hotel just steps from Park Avenue but away from the noise and congestion of midtown. Our suite of rooms included a large bedroom, large living area, small galley kitchen and full bath. We couldn't; have asked for more, and will definitely return soon!
Nice hotel. Everything was as expected. staff was very helpful. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
This hotel is not worth the price. While it is well located, the facilities are outdated, and the TVs do not even have internet access. Considering what it offers, it is far too expensive. I would not recommend staying here.
The space coming from another Executive Room in London. I was huge.
The AC was noisy sometimes.
Wonderful Hotel, Best Staff in NYC. Love this Hotel. Best option for me for many years. Highly Recomended.
All of the rooms are different, I guess because they are owned by individuals. They should tell you that. The first room was so dark, I am older, no overhead lights and I banged my shin repeatedly on the corner of the bed frame. I then moved rooms and the carpet was moist by the bed and the key did not work and I had to go up and down the elevator 11 times once to get into my room. Also a member of the cleaning staff was very unfriendly. When I asked for a credit for the above they said there was nothing that could be done.
Ok location, not far from Central Park. Missing breakfast which I booked through an agent. When checking in I was told they don't have a restaurant/breakfast. In the room I had a large fridge where I could put my self purchased breakfast products. Room-keys were of poor quality and had to be changed twice during my short visit.
The Lombardy is well located on the east side of mid-town. It was within walking distance of the venue where our conferences were being held. That was a positive. Otherwise, there was no restaurant or room service, which meant leaving the hotel for everything, but this encouraged more neighborhood exploration (a great Italian restaurant across the street), which was inconvenient.
