Our first stay at this hotel. Excellent position. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast lovely. Staff very friendly. Will definately stay here again.
Pablo is one of the best , excellent service always a smile….exceptional location and very friendly staff
We stayed at the Radisson Blu from April 3rd to April 6th. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
First of all, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses were very poor quality — you sink into them and can barely move. Every morning we woke up with body aches.
Secondly, we had an issue with the umbrellas. The hotel rents them out, so we took one but didn’t even use it — it stayed in our room the entire time. When we checked out, we returned it, but because more than 48 hours had passed, we were charged £18 per umbrella. This is completely unreasonable, especially considering the umbrellas are worth no more than £5 each.
This felt very unfair and honestly like being overcharged for no good reason.
This is a perfectly located hotel and has everything you need. Beautifully clean and staff were consistently helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was beautifully presented and had an abundance of options. Nice little gym and pool. Didn’t get time for a massage but will do next time. Our room was spotless and had all conveniences like hair dryer, iron and ironing board, kettle, safe and fridge. I liked the umbrellas ready to go in the lobby for a £2 hire fee. The weather is known for four seasons in one day so this is a great idea.
Thank you for a wonderful stay
Couldn’t be better placed and with parking too!
Extremely friendly staff throughout from reception to cleaners!!
great location and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our time in an amazing city and warm cozy hotel
A short break was made special by this hotel. Everything from our first greeting to the day we left was perfect
I would highly definitely recommend! Lovely staff who were immediately welcoming, warm and friendly. Great service. Great breakfast and fantastic location.
To the Staff thank you for making our stay memorable ‘
Thank you Paulo for making sure the driver picked us up from the hotel ( ongoing road construction) to airport
Just wanted to drop you a quick note about my recent stay at the Radisson in Edinburgh – what an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted like an old friend by the reception staff. Their warm smiles and helpful nature set the tone for my entire experience.
The hotel itself is fantastic. Think cozy, yet chic, with a touch of Scottish charm. My room was so comfy I almost forgot to explore the nearby attractions! And speaking of which, the location couldn't be better — just a stone's throw from the city's highlights in old town.
But the star of the show is the amazing staff at the reception. They went above and beyond, making sure I had everything I needed and answering all my questions with genuine enthusiasm. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel.
If you're ever in Edinburgh, the Radisson is a must!. I’m fortunately back at the hotel next week.
This is our hotel of choice whenever up in Edinburgh. Returned after a few years and, and so great to get that warm welcome and familiar facilities. Its location right in the heart of the old city cannot be bettered. Our room had a great view to the east with Arthur's Seat as a backdrop. The double room was a good size with bath/rainshower, fridge, safe and furnishings along with other complimentaries. The hotel has a gym. pool, sauna, etc which I didn't use this time but I did visit for a massage again. Special mention to Natasha for a great massage, courteous and great advice for my back. The staff at RBCC are the jewel. Everyone from reception to restuarant to chambermaids always courteous, always with a smile and good morning/evening and going out of their way. I have to say breakfast is my passion here and I really go to town and never have to bother with lunch! Everything from porridge - cooked to order exactly as I like - to cooked breakfast, cheeses and cold meats, the sides of salmon, etc, is such a joy. All restaurant staff are hard working and so courteous but special mention to Lilian. Can't wait to return.
Great location in the heart of Edinburgh City, everything that I wanted to do was on the doorstep,
Staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly, there was no reason to ask for anything more.
Great hotel in terms of location, accommodation and staff. The rooms are clean and modern. The breakfast is fresh and wholesome. I would have no issue recommending this hotel. I have now stayed in it several times and have never been disappointed and the staff are very friendly and professional.
Received the warmest of welcomes from Greta on Reception after a long train journey - and we appreciated her efforts to get us our room.
Lovely, good size room - did hear late night noise from street, but then realised the sash window wasn’t fully shut at the top, behind the sliding secondary glazing.
Was a pleasure to chat to Receptionists Greta and Zoe whenever passing through Reception - their enthusiasm and good humour was infectious, giving a proud insight into working at the hotel and living in the great city of Edinburgh. They really made the stay.
Have to flag up one issue - Breakfast on the Friday morning was truly, truly the worst cooked breakfast I have ever had - fried eggs still had a thick ring of uncooked egg white goop on top, the sausages were only browned on one side (I would say a sausage has 8 ‘sides’ as a cylinder shape!) and the bacon appeared to have been lightly steamed and could have been resuscitated back to life quite easily!!!
I did complain - and even asked if this was all a mistake this morning, as I was horrified how poor it was - not exactly showcasing a ‘Full Scottish’ to visitors, from the UK or Internationally. I was offered for my egg to be cooked some more!!! But have to say Haggis slices were very nice, lovely and peppery, but again steamed rather than fried.
Next morning (Saturday) went down to breakfast expecting to settle for a Continental breakfast - to find all the cooked breakfast items as you would normally expect - cooked and browned nicely. Even some crispy bits of bacon. Sunday breakfast was even better - with well cooked bacon. So I do suspect the Friday breakfast was ‘a mistake’!
Great location on The Royal Mile - pretty much as central as you can be to my mind. Many eating places and local Supermarkets on adjoining Nicholson Street. Really near to Waverley Railway Station - but be mindful most direct route involved ALOT of stairs, not much fun with a heavy case. For return worked out level and smooth walking over South Bridge to Princes Street entrance was far easier.
Great experience in spa. Claudia takes such a pride in her work and couldn't be more helpful. A credit to the team!
Magical. The hotel was amazing, right in the middle of The Royal Mile with access to everything. Exceptional service.
Our first experience in Scotland and our stay at the Radisson Blu was tremendous. Very clean, a calm atmosphere and beautiful room. Great service and we felt so comfortable and safe. Loved it. Will come back.
Although we had only one night at this hotel it was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is an excellent one. Our room was very comfortable, the food and the service was first class. The location o yhe Royal Mile is also perfect, It was a really great experience.
Perfect for a 4 day stay. Ideal location on the Royal Mile and just a short walk from all the main attractions and transport links. Plenty of pubs on the doorstep too. Our room was surprisingly quiet (given the busy location), clean and very comfortable.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout. We arrived early to drop off our bags but the room was ready and early check-in was a bonus. I'm pretty sure we had a room upgrade too.
Surprised to see a criticism of the breakfast options. All the usual hot options (plus haggis and potato scones), breads, pasties, fruits, cereals, juices, pancakes etc. etc. What more could anyone want.
The pool, steam room and sauna were a bonus too. Not big enough to practice for the Olympics bit fine for a dip. Only minor frustration was very patchy Wi-Fi in the room with frequent drop-outs. Not a biggy but a pain when booking tickets etc.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Wonderful stay in Edinburgh. Hotel staff helpful and professional. Hotel smells amazing!!! Great location on Royal Mile. Will book again
