Folks were helpful and pleasant.
Anchorage seems very expensive and the Ramada was high dollar for a pretty modest and old facility.
Good location
The room was not very clean.
Clean and price about the best you can get in Anchorage this time of year
Shower handle fell off when trying to get the temperature down. Had a cool shower. 😒
Not the best location.
The breakfast could've had some hot food.
It was close to the train depot and we could walk to it.
1. Old and outdated. We had to change rooms because the floor was vibrating because of machinery below.
2. The WiFi was terrible and kept dropping us. When it worked it was very slow
3. The staff was terrible. I called about the WiFi and he said he’d be right up to help us. 45 minutes later he showed up. He went back downstairs to get another password and said he’d be right back. Never returned.
4. The A/C was extremely noisy and couldn’t cool the room down. We turned it off and opened the window which was just as noisy with traffic outside.
5. The bathroom was in disrepair and the sink plumbing was backwards.
6. The lighting was terrible in the room and very dark.
I’ve always felt that Ramada Inns and Wyndham Hotels were high quality and could be trusted to provide a product and service of great quality. I don’t look at those brands in the same light anymore after staying at this location.
The location was surrounded by homeless people, which I know is an anchorage problem and not a hotel specific problem, but we felt unsafe leaving our car unattended and just being there in general. The staff was incredibly rude to the OTHER staff? The manager complained to me about his staff members for quite a few minutes. elevator didn’t work when we were there, our door keys didn’t work either so then the manager moved us across the hall to a messy room, AND an employee walked in on us at like 3am….
Lage ist gut, Transfer zum Flughafen, Frühstück ist super, Luggage Store kostenlos für einen Tag Seward
Zu viel Plastik beim Frühstück
Jeden Tag neues Personal, sehr amerikanisch
The only good thing is the location of the hotel.
I don't like everything. But the worst thing was the behavior of the administrator. I arrived in the morning of July 29th, tired after a 14-day trip around Alaska. My flight home was the next morning, so I was looking for a place to sleep over. When I arrived, I asked a few questions about the rooms and the hotel. The administrator answered my questions angrily and negatively. She was rude and unpleasant. She offered a higher price than through booking, so I made the reservation through the booking system. Since it was noon, and rooms are checked in from 3 pm, she wanted to charge me an additional $50, but I refused. But she didn't even let me leave my luggage until 3:00 pm. I went to another hotel where my friends stay and returned only in the evening when another administrator was working. She was nicer. But anyway, the whole atmosphere of the hotel is uncomfortable and inhospitable.
Close location for transport to cruise port
It’s a dump. Curtains have holes in them and nothing is updated
Dirty room, no TV for several hours
Nothing
Super sketchy area, run down, dirty and seemed to be some illegal activities in and around
Nice comfy bed. The room was quiet and well appointed.
Location a little in a sketchy part of town. Toilet seat needs to be changed.
The room was relatively comfortable
The staff was strange and set off the fire alarm 2 hours before check out with no warning before hand. Lots of rules.
The night staff when we checked in was great. Some man was screaming in the hallway and the front desk shut it down fast. Kudos!!
Got in our room at 10:45pm and sat down and decompressed after our red eye flight was canceled. As we started to roll back the covers we find out that they are stained with something red that looks like blood. Called the front desk and the lady there asked to call us back. We waited until 11:30pm and called her again and then she came down. She had sheets in her hand and the ones she had were also stained. So she went and got the general managers sheets and used those for our room. We waited until the morning to bring up as we were tired and wore out. We contacted the front desk about our concerns. The sink was held up by one angle bracket on one side and hobbled together 2x4s which made it very unsafe if someone used it to get off the toilet. (Pictures below) we also had a three place light switch which was missing a switch that had paper stuffed in it.
We contacted the front desk and asked for the GM to contact us. As we were talking to the GM and showing him the cobbled sink, the light switch and about the sheets that had red on it. He said these are used rooms and all can do is give you 10% off the price. We weren’t asking for the whole room to be free. All we were asking for was us to pay for the cost of the room. This was a $294 dollar room that costs the hotel a maximum of $45 per day. How it was managed by the GM was not making it right in my eyes. But I can be persuaded if others tell me otherwise.
Location was good8
