Updated rooms and clean on entry
Poor housekeeping. Room left unclean on second day.
Always a great experience at the grand Hyatt! Room upgrade and delicious breakfasts with wonderful service. Already been here three times this year.
Spectacular bar next to a waterfall + a beautiful zen garden + attractive room design, but the quality at hotel is inconsistent. I left feeling underwhelmed.
(1) They were never able to get my in-room safe to work. One failed attempt was made and the promise of a technician who never arrived (2) carpet in room was dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years (3) a leaky sink faucet handle (minor but annoying) (4) inconsistent service at the bar (5) pool felt too cold on a warm summer night; I guess they didn't think to heat it.
The recent (about a year ago) renovations have really elevated the hotel. We stayed in one of the Grand Suites and it was very clean and relaxing. The lobby also smells really nice. I would happily stay here again.
Beautiful rooms. Great views. Amazing patio with lights and a fire pit at night. The staff was amazing and accomodating. The gym is very nice. The pool is not spectacular but still solid for a city bound hotel. They have a club that has fantastic snacks and deserts. I loved this hotel.
Great environment and location. Nice restaurants and bars. Service is phenomenal! Definitely enjoy the Grand Club benefits (top floors with beautiful views and access to lounge area with snacks and hors d’oeuvres throughout the day.
Arrived late and the reservation was messed up. Somehow there were 2 reservations but Drew took care of everything! It would have been a horrible night if he hadn’t been so calm and explanatory. We got it all fixed and headed up to the room. There were a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The pool was great and the Japanese garden was so peaceful
We selected this hotel for our staycation. The hotel is beautiful and we were wonderfully surprised by the Zen Garden. This hotel was a welcome respite in the middle of the city.
I rarely leave reviews like this, but my recent stay at this Hyatt in Atlanta left a very bad impression of the Hyatt brand.
I booked a room with club-level access, even though I knew I probably would not have much time to use it. Late at night, after spending a couple of hours downstairs doing work, I asked the front desk for a bottle of water. The front desk agent asked me for my room number four separate times, and I repeated it each time. After all of that, his response was simply that I needed to go to the market and buy the water myself.
The interaction was not warm, apologetic, or even neutral. It felt firm and dismissive, as if I were an unwelcome person off the street rather than a registered guest who had paid for an upgraded stay. If the answer was going to be “no complimentary water,” I do not understand why I was asked for my room number four times first. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to make a very small request feel handled with basic hospitality.
I was so annoyed that I just went back to my room and drank water from the sink. I am perfectly fine with sink water, but the message I received from the front desk might as well have been: “Just drink from the sink.”
What makes this worse is that there were other issues I could have complained about but chose not to: a constantly dripping shower leak, hair on the toilet seat, and a stain on the chair. I did not raise those things because I did not want to make a big deal out of them. But being treated like I was unworthy of even a bottle of water, especially after providing my room number repeatedly, crossed the line from minor inconvenience into unacceptable service.
This is my only Hyatt stay this year, and unfortunately it left me questioning whether I should choose Hyatt again. A hotel can have maintenance issues or small room imperfections, but poor hospitality at the front desk is much harder to overlook. Hyatt should review this interaction, address the service standard with the staff involved, and explain how a guest with club-level access ended up feeling this unwelcome over the simplest possible request.
The hotel’s location is convenient to the airport, approximately 30 minutes away with normal traffic conditions. During busy Atlanta traffic, however, the drive took closer to an hour. The property is exceptionally clean, and the beds are very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.
For business travelers, transportation is easy, with plenty of taxis and rideshare services readily available at the hotel. I highly recommend Industry Tavern, located just outside the hotel, for lunch or dinner. There is also a Chick-fil-A and several other dining options within a short walking distance. If you prefer to stay on-site, the hotel offers multiple dining options as well.
As a solo female business traveler, I was mindful of my surroundings when venturing beyond the immediate hotel area. That said, I felt completely safe and secure within the hotel and in the businesses located directly outside the property within about a one-block radius.
While there wasn’t a Starbucks nearby that I felt comfortable walking to, both Caribou Coffee and the local Blue Donkey Coffee shop were within a safe and convenient walking distance.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly choose this hotel and location again for future visits.
Beautiful facility with every comfort imaginable
Few foood choices
Our stay at the Grand Hyatt was awesome! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a corner room on the top floor which gave us a great view of the city. The hotel and room was very clean. We had the Grand Club in addition. We dined there for breakfast and dinner each day. The food was delicious! Overall, it was a great stay!
I highly recommend this spot. It is close to a Marta train station so you can get downtown fairly quickly without having to find parking in this very expensive city. It is clean and beautifully designed. Employees were attentive.
What a great experience from check-in to check-out! Beautiful area and beautiful hotel!!! Everything was a 10! We would defiantly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Atlanta area. Perfect location right outside Atlanta. The bartender at the hotel was great!!! I only wish I would of gotten her name!!!
Lovely, clean and peaceful stay. Highly recommend this hotel. We have returned many times passing though Atlanta and it never disappoints.
This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely, safe area of Atlanta! I had a corner room with a beautiful view of the city. The pool, West Terrace with fire pits, and the Japanese Gardens were my favorite features. I enjoyed the fire pits every night of my stay. The hotel also catered our convention, and the food was very good and beautifully arranged. I would love to visit this hotel again!
Received great service at our stay at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. Kids enjoyed the outdoor heated pool while the wife and I enjoyed the drinks at Fabled. Whole family loved having breakfast outside by the waterfall at Cassis
This is a lovely property. It was renovated recently and is gorgeous. The Japanese garden is beautiful and serene. The staff is fantastic. We live in Atlanta and could stay at any number of other properties and we choose to periodically stay here because we like it so much.
The overall environment was upbeat and smelled great! The room seemed new. It was clean and well appointed. Great property!
