Great service, great location
Pros:

We stayed for an evening for our anniversary. We live an hour out of Atlanta and had not been to this hotel. We had no set plans when we booked it, but knew the location would accommodate whatever we decided to do. The hotel was recently renovated according to the app and everything is very nice. I was upgraded to a luxury suite as a globalist and the room was beautiful. My wife loved the huge shower with wall jets. We used the complimentary shuttle to get to the Lenox mall and then later to our dinner at Bones. The hotel shuttle is a Black GMC Yukon (think Uber Black SUV) and will take you anywhere in a two mile radius. We had a drink at the bar downstairs before dinner and it was happening for a Wed night. A more exciting vibe than the typical hotel bar. We didn’t eat dinner here so I can’t offer advice on the main restaurant but the breakfast was excellent. This will be our go to hotel in the future. Almost forgot the most important part…. The staff was excellent…. From the front desk to the limo driver, great service!

Pros:

Not sure if the hotel is having fraud issues or not but the front desk personnel put my family in such scrutiny in order for him to check us in, my reservation was made under my maiden name which he couldn’t understand that I have a hyphenated name, he ask me for multiple ID, credit cards and still didn’t believe I was who I said I was, I guess he assumed I was not the person on the reservation, finally he went to speak to someone at the back office and checked us in. I have never experienced such treatment at Hyatt’s hotels and was taken back at his treatment of myself and family. I recommend you train your staffs better and not make a guess feel unwelcome even in Buckhead.

Nice hotel, poll was not heated and that was the only reason for selecting that property

I went to the hotel simply to enjoy the heated pool and have a nice relaxing Easter eve. I called the hotel and spoke to AI assistant who said the pool was open, but I wanted to be double sure so I spoke to the front desk who said the pool was open and itwas heated I believe they specified to 86°. I checked in my room was upgraded to a corner room it was a very nice room anda very nice hotel but when we went right down to the pool, the water was freezing many of the other families and people at the were experience in the same problem. I felt like I was telling the same story when the lady at the pool said she called the day to make sure that the pool was heated as well because they were bringing the kids down. This was an absolute waste of time and money for me. I was staying at a friend’s house in Atlanta and only decided to come to the hotel for the purpose of the pool which was useless. Management apologized after I complained in the Hyatt app, but said they would discuss it with other management and offered no other resolutions. I usually always stay at Hyatt properties because I enjoy my status and their hotels are usually top-notch, but this was a very bad experience.

Gorgeous Hotel! One of the best stays I've had!
Pros:

This hotel was located in the perfect location, especially for walking. I wish I would have had the time to get out and about and explore the area because it was so convenient. The access to the hotel was very easy for my Uber drive and for me to walk to take the MARTA back to the airport. I really really appreciated that. The decor in the hotel was gorgeous, especially my room. I had a huge room on the corner with a great view and the decor was just stunning. Everything was clean and perfected presented. This truly was one of the best stays I've had in a long time and there was nothing that I wasn't impressed with. And the hotel was pet friendly! An added bonus!!

Nice hotel in Buckhead
Pros:

Clean, well appointed hotel in Buckhead. One of the few Hyatts in the US with a club lounge. Seasonal heated pool, but mostly in the shade so can be cold.

Would return without question!
Pros:

The Hyatt was beautiful and very clean. Every member of the staff was the friendliest we've met at any hotel. The food was delicious. Props to Aldrin at the lounge, Drew and Ken at the front desk. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind.

Gorgeous Grounds & Comfy Bed!
Pros:

Great hotel with its own Japanese Garden. Several restaurants, bar, & market inside hotel. Walking distance to/from MARTA station. Bed was super comfortable too!

The Hotel is centrally located. It has great ambience & the staff is very helpful. A great welcome & warmth is experienced during stay. The rooms & attached bathrooms are huge with great cleanliness.

appalling, hotel repeatedly tries to overcharge guests
Pros:

hotel really needs to strive for more accurate billing and not systematically and repeatedly mislead or overcharge guests, I booked 3 rooms for the end of our business trip, at check-in I asked for a late check-out and was told that 1pm was the latest that could be done for free, I said that was fine and my 2 colleagues asked for the same, I was therefore surprised on checking my pre-checkout bill the next morning that a $25 room upgrade fee had been applied for this, I phoned reception at 7am, your AI phone answering service repeatedly cut me off, your representative Abdel told me that the $25 charge was correct for a late checkout to 1pm and to remove it he changed my check-out time back to 12.00, I asked to speak to a manager but none was unavailable, I usually have better things to do at 7am on a Saturday morning than arguing with hotel staff about unjustified charges on my bill, when I went to reception the more polite and helpful female colleague there said that the $25 fee was only for late checkouts until 2pm, that a late check-out to 1pm was indeed free, the $15 food and beverage credit as part of the $30 destination fee was also a bad joke, we asked if we could apply this credit towards breakfast, all of the staff we asked said this was possible but at checkout they said that this F+B credit could not be used on the day of departure (we were only staying 1 night so could only have breakfast once.......), you applied a charge of over $40 for Cassis breakfast to my bill even though I had asked to prepay the breakfast the previous day which your reception staff said would be $25, the server at breakfast knew I had prepaid breakfast, he drew a line through my bill at breakfast and said that there was nothing extra payable for breakfast but your reception staff at checkout seemed unaware of this and did not have access to my original check from breakfast, presented me with a separately printed bill for over $40 which I had never seen or signed, my colleague also had an unknown extra $10 breakfast charge applied to his bill as well as the breakfast charge of over $40 until we asked for this strange $10 separate breakfast fee to be removed, you should also try tasting the espresso coffee you serve at breakfast, it is completely vile and undrinkable even with 2 sugars added to try to soften its awful bitter taste, hotels in Europe don't seem to seek to deceive, mislead, overcharge or even defraud their customers in this way, I stayed in room 617 but strangely the phone in my room said that I was in room 616.......

Beautiful hotel. Very Clean. Recently renovated. Great beds. Room-darkening curtains work well. Very low noise level. They upgraded my room to a suite due to a sold-out condition. If you’re looking for a hotel with sweet suites, this is a good one. Look at the photos.

Great stay at Grand Hyatt Buckhead
Pros:

Clean, great service, and free car service anywhere within two miles during afternoon and evening hours which made us not need a rental. A block away from lenox mall. Great location in Buckhead. Good hotel gym as well - cardio equipment, workout mats, dumbbell weights < 50 lbs., cable machines, and a variety of benches.

Grand Hyatt Atlanta Sets the Bar

As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I have stayed at many Hyatt properties over the years, and my recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead once again reminded me why Hyatt continues to set the standard for hospitality.

From arrival to departure, the experience was outstanding. The staff delivered the kind of thoughtful, professional service that defines the very best Hyatt properties. Every interaction—from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping—was warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear the team takes pride in creating a seamless guest experience.

The property itself is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. Small details throughout the stay demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
