Lavish buffet spread
We asked for a heater as it was very cold - they kept giving us spoilt ones. After getting it replaced three times we finally gave up. You had to leave the water on for 15mins for hot water!
The property is clean and worth the money
Initially booked Royal ensuite which was not worth the value of the price
Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Cygnett resort. The staff and the amenities were excellent and will definitely return here to explore Nanital further. There was only one slight issue regarding the heating, which was resolved quickly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
As per before, the heating, especially at this time of the year, needs to be robust.
Misleading pictures and photographs
It was a royal suite with two small and congested rooms and the worst thing is it had common toilets ! Has anyone ever heard of a royal suite with common small toilet????
Nice property
Never ever book at this resort! In November we booked a trip to Nainital to unwind from a hectic holiday in India. What is portrayed as a very well managed and idyllic resort is quite the opposite. We booked two rooms. At first, the toilet blocked on the first night & despite repeated calls to maintenance, they only arrived in the morning! The room was cleaned, but no towels were left. On request for towels, housekeeping came to the room to check our bags to ensure that we didn't steal the towels. My wife asked why would we travel from South Africa to steal towels in Nainital. This was unacceptable & despite their apologies, it left a bitter taste. The food was mediocre. Restaurant staff were very pleasant, though.
This resort just is not up to the mark... Cygnet Resort, you can & should do better!
