Overall it was a lovely relaxing place to stay with wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

Great options and plenty of space inside or out on the patio.

Cons:

The 19th hole bar needed more staff on the 31st as barman was having to serve coffees as well as patrons as well as the dinningroom orders.
Our steak dinners on a previous night were disappointing with too much sinew in the meat. We did point it out at the time.

Gorgeous hotel set on beautiful grounds with helpful staff.
Pros:

It was a beautiful location with lovely rooms. Nice pool. Really lovely staff. Good breakfast.

Cons:

No changing area around the pool so have to walk through the lobby. But it was lovely place to stay

Unpleasant
Pros:

Sadly in a heatwave to have a room where the air-conditioner is not functioning we cannot be positive about our experience at the Lord Charles. We reported the fault and it was not fixed.

Cons:

No Air conditioner in room.

A great base for staying in the Somerset West area of the winelands.
Pros:

After a very disappointing stay a year ago, we thought we’d give the property another try. SO much better now. Professional team worked hard to make every touch point good. A great stay.

Cons:

The breakfast not as good as before. Continental offering scaled back a bit. 6/10.
