Pros:

Very pretty hotel with nice rooms. There is no mini bar or snacks available in the room and no restaurant on site so don’t stay here if you want room service but other than that as had a beautiful stay

The hotel is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and rooms are quite large. We were in room 1726 that opens to courtyard which is wonderful but that and the placement and choice of light fixtures makes the room quite dark. It’s quite difficult to get ready (make up/shaving)

Pros:

The front desk manager Benjamin was extremely helpful, polite and delightful. The concierge was spot on with recommending a spa and his follow through impeccable. The cleaning staff were cordial and thorough.
The engineer was swift and very capable of fixing our door lock which malfunctioned.
The front desk women seemed very timid, cowed and unable to stretch beyond rules that they perceived as rigid.

The staff was amazing- friendly, attentive , above and beyond expected in a high-end hotel . The interior is refurbished , but classic. The only thing I did not like was room service breakfast served like take-out, with plastic ware in a paper bag. I wanted the cart with real plates and silverware .The food was good, but no effort in presentation .

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! When we checked in, we were told there would be bottled water available in the room but that there were currently two only. Since we had a party of three, they apologized and stated they would bring a third bottle. They never did. Checking in was easy. Checking out was easy. Parking was easy. When you first enter, you have the option to choose how many nights you are staying. You pre-pay so that you have in and out privileges for the duration of your stay.

This was such a gorgeous property, the historic building was beautiful and the room design was crazy good. There was a mural in the closet. A Mural. In the closet. A mohair velvet pillow, a really nice possible cashmere end of bed blanket. I loved everything about this place.

We had a nice stay at the Bellevue. Our room was comfortable, and clean. Our biggest issue was at Pergola, for breakfast. We ordered eggs and omelettes, which seemed a safe bet. Unfortunately, they came with potatoes that were covered in garlic and onion powder, rendering them completely inedible. We sent one of the plates back and said we couldn’t eat it , it was so bags. There was no apology, and they still billed us for it! We should have argued, but instead chalked it up to a learning lesson, and probably won’t be back.

We had the most loveliest time at this beautiful hotel. The staff was simply amazing. Friendly, helpful and kind. The hotel itself is perfect. The ambiance is amazing. I will always book at this property upon returing to Philly.

The Bellevue was excellent for our stay. The Sporting Club that’s available for hotel guests to use has everything you’d need in a health club and more. The hotel is quiet and located in walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and the XIX restaurant within the hotel was a delightful experience.
