Prime location, nice and comfortable room.
Attentive staff.
Personally, expensive for my extended stay of 6 days. But I knew before going and chose it anyway.
Nice size room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed & pillows. The nespresso machine was a nice bonus. Room service choices and delivery was great.
Two days in the WiFi stopped working and even though I called down and was told a ticket was made to have it looked into. Nothing came of it. Never got the WiFi back and never heard from anyone. Luckily I had finished running my company’s payroll the first day I arrive.
Property was elegantly upgraded. Christmas decor was beautiful
The property was great. The staff not attentive- the hotel had 2 private parties during our stay and they catered to them while ignoring our request. The hotel bar was so crowded with party guest we couldn’t even get a drink
Location was good
I was charged an extra fee, my bill after check out was different than my credit card charge.
I left a voicemail and NoOne ! Returned my call !!
Front desk couldn’t help me!!!!!
I stayed here with my wife for two nights (9-11 Nov, 2025). We chose this hotel because we were attending the Marine Corps Ball. The first Marine Corps Ball was held in this hotel's grand ballroom 100 years ago, making this hotel a particularly special place to celebrate the 250th birthday of the Marine Corps. As a Marine Corps veteran, I was looking forward to being there.
This historic hotel is charming in terms of interior design and architecture. We could see why it was renowned for its beauty when it was established and for the following decades. Our room was a junior suite, which was spacious and had a big bathroom. Toiletries belonged to the "Who is Elijah" brand, which my wife very much liked, and even looked up to order a few things from their website. We liked the fact that there was even a steam iron in addition to a normal iron. There were multiple lamps in the room, which kept it well-lit.
Some things didn't meet our expectations, considering we paid $1250 for 2 nights.
Breakfast: My wife had breakfast in the hotel's 19th-floor restaurant. The open-buffet breakfast was $28, which was a small buffet (if you want eggs, for example, you order them a la carte by paying an additional $20 or so). You can't pour tea/coffee/juice for yourself, but the waiter brings it. When she was asked what she wanted to drink, she asked for a cappuccino. They didn't inform her that it wasn't a type of coffee included in their open buffet breakfast, and charged her an extra $6 on the bill. The juices weren't freshly made either. Including 18% automatic gratuity, she was charged $45 for breakfast. She went there between 7-8 am when the restaurant was almost empty. For some reason, the waiter took her to the last table in the corner to be seated while there were empty tables in the middle of the restaurant, near the buffet. She didn't want to sit in the corner far from the buffet and suggested sitting at the bar in case that was the only 2-person table. She was considerate not to occupy a bigger table by herself. So, she ended up sitting at the bar. They didn't bring her utensils until she asked for them. During this entire time, there was an unoccupied 2-person table near the buffet. She suggested switching to that table, but the waiter didn't let her. We don't know why.
Housekeeping: We had a make-up artist come over for my wife's preparation for the ball. We expected housekeeping before the artist showed up at 2 pm. Out of respect for her, we didn't want full trash bins or a messy bed around. Housekeeping didn't come until almost 5 pm. They should leave clean cups for coffee/tea and replace empty water bottles for the day, before 5 pm.
Amenities: The ironing table was small and of low quality. It was a pain to iron my uniform. The minibar was heating up and didn't keep anything cool.
Very good experience overall!
Great breakfast! Spacious classic design.
Room was dusty
Staff was really nice and everything was so clean!! I will definitely be staying here again! Everything was within walking distance
Very pretty hotel with nice rooms. There is no mini bar or snacks available in the room and no restaurant on site so don’t stay here if you want room service but other than that as had a beautiful stay
The hotel is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and rooms are quite large. We were in room 1726 that opens to courtyard which is wonderful but that and the placement and choice of light fixtures makes the room quite dark. It’s quite difficult to get ready (make up/shaving)
