Closed, no response
Pros:

We arrived at the hotel early, and it was closed, no sign of anyone. Tried hotels.com, but they were busy.
Phoned the hotel 3 times, answer machine twice, nothing the 3rd time.
I know there is a crisis at the moment, but the hotel should have either, phoned, emailed or text us to say they were not opening. I wouldn't have wasted the trip to Ecija.
This is really disappointing, hopefully they will return the money I paid for 3 nights.

An oasis of charm
Pros:

What a find! We have just completed a 5 night stay in hotel palacio de los granados. This beguiling boutique hotel is set in one of Ecija's many historic mansions. It had a head to toe refurbishment back in 2004 and they took great pains to retain as many of the original features, including 18th century floors, vaulted wooden beamed ceilings and period furniture. The hotel has around 15 rooms, most set around an internal courtyard, where breakfast is served under a glass atrium roof around a centre piece fountain. Of to the right through a lovely sitting room is an external courtyard with a marble plunge pool shaded by numerous pomegranate trees, containing cafe table seating and further accommodations. Our room was in the second floor up a grand marble staircase adorned with period art and statuary.

Although we booked a standard double, they were having a quiet week and upgraded us to a grand suite at no extra charge. The charm offensive continued in here with period armoires, and an antique bed frame, reproduction period fabric canopy and curtains. The mattress and bedding thankfully was not antique and very comfortable. The suites sitting area had a comfortable sofa and chairs, a coffee machine and both rooms had air conditioning, and shuttered French windows which helps mitigate the fierce andalusian sunshine. They opened onto the external shaded patio. We also had a lovely bathroom with marble double sinks, power outlets, great shower with constant hot water and pressure. Egyptian cotton towels and robes were also provided. As were extra pillows and Pool towels upon request.

We also took the opportunity to. Sneak a look into the many other rooms that were left open for airing (yes, we are those people). They were also lovely, some quirky with mezzanine floors. All finished with the unified period furnishings and charm that permeates the whole palacio.

The hotel is staffed 24 hours and Rafa, Ellie, Rique and the rest of the small team were superb. Attentive, accommodating and wonderfully helpful throughout our stay and it felt more like saying goodbye to friends when we checked out. By the end of our 5 days I feel so relaxed I'm not sure I left with my spine intact, I'm certain they’ll send it on. Should they find it.

If you’re looking for supremely relaxing holiday in an oasis of calm and uniquely Andalusian charm. Look no further.

Delightful small hotel, beautifully restored
Pros:

One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in in Spain, in nearly 20 years - small, characterful, comfortable, quiet and really friendly, very central, and providing a good breakfast. It’s full of artefacts, period furniture, traditional paintings and more, and the central courtyard & dining area, and the patio and small pool behind, are little havens of peace and tranquility. We really appreciated being offered a choice of drinks as we arrived hot from 30+ km of riding the Via Verde on rough terrain - a fresh orange juice was just what we needed. The owner is charming too and told us how he and his partner had spent fifteen years restoring the house to its current state after it had been empty for sixty years. You can just tell it’s a labour of love. Very highly recommended 👍👍.

A fabulous film set.
Pros:

This is a fabulous hotel which I will remember all my life. Situated in a City between Granada and Seville (Seville is an hour away) this hotel is the jewel in the crown. The welcome we got on arrival was warm and friendly and all the staff in this hotel look after you as if you are royalty. We had a first floor suite with a sitting room, bedroom and a bathroom.. We were taken around the hotel and all the rooms are very well appointed. The decor is wonderful and this old 17 th century building has been modernised with care and flare, having furniture and ornaments which are in keeping. Thai hotel is very comfortable, having a central courtyard with a Moorish fountain as it centre piece, on to which rooms overlook. There is an outside patio with a swimming pool and shady areas to sit. The only downside is the lack of parking at the hotel but we understand that this is being addressed. The is parking some 50 metres down the street and one should not allow this to influence one choice. The hotel is very reasonably priced and is highly recommended.

Ophold på palads i charmerende spansk by
Pros:

En unik mulighed for at bo på et palads fra 1800-tallet med patio, pool osv. Fin og personlig betjening. Flere gæster kom jævnligt ingen og boede 1 uge ad gangen. Mulighed for ultimativ afslapning i charmerende omgivelser. Værelser mod gaden har noget støj om morgenen.

Lovely setting and excellent location
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, located in a restored palace in the historic center of Écija, (Andalicía, Spain). Gorgeous architecture and decoration, our favorite spaces were the interior courtyard, and the "sala" (living room).
We visited during the holy week, (our first in Spain). The perfect location allowed us to visit the historic churches, and we even participated/witnessed in several of their holy week processions ("pasos," in spanish).
The excellent location in the Andalucía region enabled us to visit nearby towns/cities such as Córdoba, Carmona, Sevilla and Setenil de las Bodegas.

Excellent value and location.
Me, my wife and our friends will definitely be back to continue exploring Écija and its surroudings.

True Nobility
Pros:

The Palacio is owned by the warm, kind and hospitable Francisco, Marquis de Lises. Everything about this beautiful 18 century building is conducive to an experience with the past when Isabel of Castille regented Écija with her court. Silence, relaxation, location next to great eateries and museums; beautiful rooms and furnishings; lovely garden for lounging: all conjure an exquisite experience graced with true nobility.

Why not stay in an 18th c palace (with 21st c air conditioning and plumbing?
Pros:

Each room is unbelievably unique and beautifully designed. The location is central to walk everywhere in this fascinating, historical town. We felt at home in the place and with the owner, even though we were far, far from home.

Pros:

A beautiful building with beautiful things. It feels like staying at a friends house, if your friend owned a Palacio in Ecija!! Welcoming , comfortable and private. A cultural experience. In the middle of this amazing 14 tower spanish medieval town.

Quaint and unusual hotel, good for exploring Anadulcia
Pros:

Easy to find and plenty of ample street parking.

The owner is lovely and speaks brilliant English. Very helpful.

Beautiful hotel and courtyard, rooms basic, comfortable and clean. Restoration job is beautiful.

We used them hotel as base to travel to Seville and Córdoba, was an easy to drive to both.

Night life etc is very traditional in terms of timing and doesn't really get going to 9pm, but plenty of supermarkets just up the road if you require something to keep you going!

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

The building is stunning. We had a suite overlooking the courtyard. It was amazing and even though it was hot outside we stayed cool. The courtyard is a beautiful place to sit in the cool and of course you can swim in the pool. We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to leave before it got too hot. This town is amazing and if we hadn't been touring we'd have been happy to explore for a couple of days.

Quirky hotel but not worth the money
Pros:

We stopped for one night. Our host was charming and helpful. The town is lovely. The decor of our room was a great mix of old and modern. The bathroom is notable for non slip floors. This is the first hotel I have been to in Spain where I was not concerned about falling. All that said, the toilet leaked and required messing with to stop running, breakfast was sparse, and the wifi was not good- even in the patio area. Also there was only one lamp at the bedside. We paid much less and had better accommodations. Go if you get a good deal

medieval modern
Pros:

Charming host, elegant hotel mixing medieval and modern and letting imagination lead you astray.Sometimes the medieval wins. It must be a fantasia of processions in Ecija in Easter and the hotel would be an ideal spot from which to walk to and admire the processions

Well worth the night-stop in this lovely town
Pros:

A place often missed in the Andalucian tour. Ecija has a wealth of history to explore with its Roman past and Baroque palaces. See the many churches and museums. Walk the tiny streets and enjoy the hospitality of the local bars and restaurants. We stayed in this great hotel which is an architectural feast and has an eclectic variety of furniture and objects to view. Very friendly and helpful owner who speaks excellent English. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was typically Andalucian. Good Wi-Fi in reception. Reserved parking on the road outside the hotel.

Ten days in the Ecija that were glorious.
Pros:

We spent the Holy Week (Semana Santa) in Palacio de los Granados, ten glorious days in a wonderful place. The personal attention given by the owner (Francisco Ortiz de la Renta), the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, and the exceptional location, made this trip a delicacy. Francisco provided us with information as to which church was taking out the most important " pasos", restaurants, important places to visit. This is an 18th century building with an interior yard and another exterior one, filled with oranges blooming and the nice smell was all other the building. The hotel is at walking distance from everything important, churches, museums, fabulous architecture. Francisco also helped us rent a taxi to take us to where a roman city was discovered - a truly fabulous expedition - and the taxi driver was courteous and knowledgeable. We felt very safe and cared in Palacio de los Granados. I was traveling with a friend (another woman!), and safety is of utmost importance to women traveling alone. I have been there on several occasions and am planning to go again in 2017. Peaceful, beautiful, and a wonderful place to go. I highly recommend it!

Elegant, quiet and lovely.
Pros:

Magnificently restored 18th century Manor. Rooms are tastefully decorated with linens of the first order. Antiques abound all over the house, and the owner a real life Marquis, treats his quests as royalty.

Another Excellent Stay in this centrally placed old boutique hotel
Pros:

This is a great place to stay to explore the ancient town of Ejica with its old towers and |Roman remains. Built on the courtyard style, the rooms are large and cool. There is a small outside area for sitting in the courtyard with water features. No evening meal and breakfast is a bit sparse, but still a great place to stay - as long as you like old style
