It’s a fantastic location, beautiful hotel, much superior to the photos on line. Amazing renovations. Caring staff. Gorgeous top knot food. Definitely returning and will recommend.
Extremely friendly staff, all very accommodating. Thought that breakfast was superb.
I loved the bar area and the food was tasty along with great friendly staff
Bedrooms could do with an update
Outstanding location with incredible views from our south facing windows , incredibly friendly and helpful staff, high quality food (and we only sampled the bar menu and breakfast and not the fine dining offerings), one of us enjoyed the selection of craft beer from fell brewing: can really tell there has been an excellent recent renovation retaining the traditional lake district class whilst introducing some more modern design flourishes. Will definitely return
Breakfast was great and the evening menu had a great selection of locally sourced food. All food was very well presented and the staff were extremely helpful.
There was only one slight niggle the shower head wasn't the best - but honestly everything else was perfect and the staff couldn't do enough to help.
All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We think that they are making lots of very imaginative and sympathetic changes to this special hotel.
We would have preferred a buffet style breakfast - that's just our preference, though.
Amazing location. Beautiful view. Recently renovated to a fantastic standard - the downstairs areas are particularly nice places to be. Staff went out of their way to give us a great experience. Bar and restaurant both top notch!
Bedroom suite was very nice but the decor and furniture were not quite to the same standard as the downstairs communal areas.
The decor in the bar and restaurant
Great views
Lovely food.
Exceptional staff
Some of the decor in the bedroom was dated
Getting in and out of the town was a hassle - Taxis are not easy to obtain
Chilled vibes
Amazing staff
Great views
Cocktails sublime
Great view, friendly staff
Disappointed at loss of lovely lounge now replaced by soulless functional bar.
Food choice bit ordinary compared with previous visits. Hotel has lost much of its character and @mbience
