We visited Lyzzick on our way to Scotland from London and it was an amazing stop.

Peaceful location not far from Keswick. Hotel was well appointed and the downstairs rooms showed how the whole hotel will eventually be designed and furnished. Large gardens with a beautiful view. Ample parking.

A warm night, a small (but lovely) room, and a restricted opening for the window. Not much the hotel can do about that, and it wouldn't stop me recommending the place.
We verbleven hier 1 nachtje. Het hotel ligt net buiten Keswick tegen een helling aan. Prachtig uitzicht! Het is een karakteristiek gebouw met een mooie tuin met daarin veel vogels. Personeel was geweldig, heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. We hebben in het restaurant gegeten en dit was zeer goed. Ook het ontbijt was prima in orde. De kamer was niet heel groot maar comfortabel. Er stond een grote fles met water met een paar glazen. Het bed was uitstekend. In de badkamer was een bad waar we gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Grote flessen met heerlijke shampoo, conditioner en body wash waren aanwezig. Je kunt in de buurt ook prima wandelen. Een stukje verderop is Dodds Wood waar je uit een paar trails kunt kiezen.
Alles was prima. Misschien een dingetje is dat er wat weinig stopcontacten op de kamer waren.

Perfect liebevoll geführtes Hotel im Lake District + zauberhaft mit Terrasse + vielen Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen und draußen + supersauber + Zimmer perfekt mit allem was man braucht ++ Frühstück war so so lecker + ebenso das Abendessen ++ dieses Hotel kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!!!
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was outstanding; I had the lamb which was cooked beautifully, and my husband’s pork tomahawk was equally impressive.
Our deluxe room was spacious, spotless and stylish, with high‑quality toiletries and everything we needed. The views were breathtaking — breakfast overlooking the hills was such a treat. And the homemade cookie… absolutely sumptuous.
Overall:
A wonderful hotel that gets everything right. Keep doing what you’re doing — we would definitely come back

We stayed the night here & had a fabulous time. The staff are fantastic- it was lovely to be somewhere with such a genuinely happy aura about the place. The room was lovely, views were great.
The food here was unbelievable! We had the Pork Tomahawk & the Beef Rump, both were excellent, followed by strawberry cheesecake & the raspberry and lemon pavlova.
Breakfast was also excellent.
