The Hotel was spotless and the gardens were well set out.
The location easy to get to and just out of town. Great wine selection
Choose your room if mobility is a problem I am sure the management are amenable to this but some rooms are up three small flights of stairs
Room comfort & bathroom - however the first room we were given, the bathroom was poor, but we moved to a more suitable room (which was beautiful).
Restaurant food was good, but expensive.
Most staff were great.
EV charging was convenient.
No slippers, shower cap or body lotion in room.
No nibbles given with drinks (didn’t seem to be any lunch options to buy, but we were fairly full from breakfast).
Lizzick has an excellent restaurant with a good choice for both dinner and breakfast. The hotel is located in a lovely rural location on the outskirts of Keswick with excellent views over Whinlatter and the surrounding fells. There are numerous walking trails on its doorstep so no need to worry about finding parking places for your car. The hotel staff are very friendly and readily prepared to enter into conversation. They are also very passionate about their plans for further development and the upgrading of the bedrooms at the hotel being the next project. Overall a great place to stay.
For us The Lizzick ticked all the boxes and offered total peace and quiet. Further investment into their bedrooms will certainly put the icing on the cake and improve the overall experience of any stay.
Breakfasts were delicious and so much choice
The evening meals could have been better. My husband ordered the Lyzzick pie (it was meat and potato) it arrived with gravy, For the price of £30 we feel that vegetables should have come with it. On Sunday we both had the roast dinner and the beef was tough. The cauliflower cheese was dry. We followed this with desserts which were uninspiring.

Wonderful stay at the Lyzzick, staff were fantastic .
We had an wonderful stay at the Lyzzick Hall Hotel! The setting is stunning, with breathtaking views and a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area.
We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel, which was fantastic and had a great choice of food, all beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The staff truly made our stay special; they were attentive, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us from start to finish.
Everything about our visit exceeded expectations, and we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly & couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was very clean & well presented. The food was great. The location was fabulous. We will certainly stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!
There was nothing that we didn't like about Lyzzick.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We normally like to be central to the town so we can go out for an evening meal. However the food was so exquisite here that we felt no need to eat out and ate at the hotel each night. The staff were all extremely accomodating and permanently pleasent. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the grounds and views are lovely. All in all we really couldn't fault it and it's highly likely we will make a return visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Nothing we loved it.
The property is in an amazing location & the Hotel building is exceptional with lots of original features.
We didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t control our own heating (the building was lovely & warm but would have preferred a localised thermostat)
The staff were super friendly and professional. The views were stunning. Lovely hotel.
Small tv in the room. Water pressure from bathroom was loud.
Beautiful views. Lovely hotel.
The food was incredible both dinner and breakfast.
The room was a lovely size, great facilities.
I didn’t book long enough to stay, would of liked to have used the spa
Fantastic Staff and Excellent accommodation loved room eight!
You could not fault this Hotel.
Beautiful location, beautiful food and excellent and friendly customer service.
Nothing
First time visiting the Lake District and will definitely return. Lyzzick Hotel was in a fabulous location with great views. Great breakfast included each day. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and all were so friendly. The fresh baked cookies left outside the door each day was a wonderful treat, delicious.
This was our second visit to Lyzzick, we loved the refurbishment. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and are always happy to chat and everything is wonderful, laid back and welcoming.
Freshly made cookies each day are delicious as is the food for breakfast and at dinner.
The hotel use local toiletries in the bathroom which is also a nice touch (we did pop into Keswick and purchase them to take home, The Bath House Shop) lovely comfy beds and thick white fluffy towels.
Its a real treat and a refreshing change to find an independent hotel doing so well and see that their staff enjoy working at the hotel, we found the same atmosphere in their hotel/bar Fellpack in Keswick. Please don't change this!
There is a bus stop outside the hotel, however driving into Keswick is pretty quick.
We took advantage of the complimentary trip to a local spa, a lovely touch especially after a long walk.
