Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! I was welcomed every time and helped immediately. Location is great. Close to downtown, but far enough away from the busy streets. Rooms were spacious and clean. I appreciated the valet services. It's unfortunate there is only one elevator. That made checking out a little difficult as everyone was trying to catch the elevator. Pool is nice, but very cold Overall, great experience, and I would recommend staying here. I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Antonio.

The valet parking was outstanding. Haley is a treasure. She knew our names right away. And kept a thousand pieces of information in her head all at once.
Her colleagues were wonderful to us— directions? No problem. Suggestions? Right on target.

I lost a keychain with my granddaughter’s picture on it. The valet tracked me down and sent it to me. That was exceptional service!! The stay was nice, but the personal touch impressed me.
Lobby is clean and modern. Rooms are okay for a one night stay. Leo was our Valet guy and he was very attentive and quick.
The location was perfect close to everywhere we wanted. We walked everywhere. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Felt safe the entire time even at night. The price was amazing for the room. They only have valet parking but even adding that cost was still very reasonable. Parking is limited throughout San Antonio so paying for valet parking was worth every penny. Highly recommend! Would stay again!
Beware: If you’re considering staying at Riverwalk Plaza Hotel, don’t let the online photos fool you. My family and I traveled from Fort Worth for an event and arrived shortly after 10 PM, only to experience one of the worst check-in processes we’ve ever had. The service was extremely slow, there was no sense of urgency, and the employee offered no real apology for the delay.
After finally getting to our room around 10:59 PM, we discovered the window blind was broken and wouldn’t roll down. Because the hotel was fully booked, maintenance had to come into our room late at night to attempt repairs.
Overall, the room was in very poor condition, especially considering the price. This stay was frustrating from start to finish. Save your money and look elsewhere — I definitely would not stay here again.
My stay was great however my husband’s caps somehow came up missing/taken from his vehicle during our stay. We valet park the entire stay and didn't leave. That was disappointing because it was very cold and windy and we needed those caps.

Had a nice stay in a historic building. We were most surprised by the architecture! We were in San Antonio for three days and didn't need too many amenities, maling this hotel ideal for the price. Walking distance to the center of town and the Riverwalk. Most enjoyable about the hotel was the personnel, particularly Frank who gave us lots of recommendations and shared his knowledge of the history of San Antonio. Thanks!
The staff was very nice and helpful. We would have liked the bathroom in our hotel room and the restaurant downstairs to be updated, though. The location was very convenient to our vacation plans on the Riverwalk.
Enjoyed my solo week stay here. It was very close the the Riverwalk so it was definitely nice to take in all the sights. The room was comfortable well lit and housekeeping did a good job in coming in and cleaning. Shout out to Haley for the valet parking. She was easy to talk to and I felt bad that I was going in and out of the hotel quite often. But overall, it was affordable, calm atmosphere, and the noise level was not bad. You can hear suitcases/carts rolling in the hallway now and then, but nothing too crazy.

We love everything about this hotel. Especially the friendly staff. From being to end everyone we dealt with was amazing. Shot out to Haley in valet; great smile and professionalism.

Traveled for two days stay with daughter and HS grandson with a bowling tournament group. Heat in resturant and room never above 61-62 degrees. Service in resturant was not what it used to be. Sat for 15 minutes with only 2 booth and 1 table full until had to ask bar waitress if could take our order. She waited on the one waitress. She was awesome however the wait time should not have been that long. Food presentation and taste was awesome.
The hotel was nice, staff were great. The only issue I had was they don’t have a late check out. I had a later flight and they charge $25 for every half hour late that you check out after 11am.
