Irma is awesome! Very professional and awesome.
Irma took my order and made me feel super welcomed. Nice relaxing workday lunch.
Great place and buget friendly. Only 2 blocks from river walk entrance and not paying outrageous price.. Will be my goto when in town.
We love everything about this hotel. Especially the friendly staff. From being to end everyone we dealt with was amazing. Shot out to Haley in valet; great smile and professionalism.
Naomi is my girl. Best bartender of the night. Leti also made it great!. This hotel was in a great location. The gravel was fantastic
Traveled for two days stay with daughter and HS grandson with a bowling tournament group. Heat in resturant and room never above 61-62 degrees. Service in resturant was not what it used to be. Sat for 15 minutes with only 2 booth and 1 table full until had to ask bar waitress if could take our order. She waited on the one waitress. She was awesome however the wait time should not have been that long. Food presentation and taste was awesome.
The hotel was nice, staff were great. The only issue I had was they don’t have a late check out. I had a later flight and they charge $25 for every half hour late that you check out after 11am.
I am absolutely elated with my stay. From Willie and Xander with valet to Ian and Lucas with checking in. Everyone made me feel right at home and very welcome and special. Thank guys ☺️
It’s very close to the riverwalk, 7-eleven, HEB grocery store, and so much more to site see as well. My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is nice and clean, we took some selfies in the lobby for aesthetics. We tried the cafe and got coffee there, pretty good with new flavors. They also have a bar and we will try that next time. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thanks for having us!
The hotel its self is nice. We had a presidential suite. The room is large, but everything is dated and run down. Couch is dirty, rugs dirty.
Great view of the river walk. You do have to valet your vehicle, but our valet Frank was nothing but helpful and friendly.
The location is perfect. Minutes walk to anything you could really want. The riverwalk (which was drained for cleaning so something to definitely check in on before booking if this is a must see for you) the staff was great and friendly. The bar on site is cute and convenient. Three stars for the room and quality. The pictures posted online must be a very select few rooms. We were on the 6th floor in a suite and it was a decent size room but the bathroom was extremely small. The balcony view was subpar and the room quality over all was on the lower end side. The atmosphere is quant with the staff’s personality being great, but when it came to the rooms… Stained carpet, broken slider shade, low water pressure, And a mix of modern and outdated decor gave it a cheap looking vibe. Over all the stay was great no complaints on much other than the in person did not match the photo hype that was the property. The valet is $40/night or there is public parking lot for $25/day less than a minute walk away. The convenience of the place was great, but don’t trust the photos online.
Older hotel but very clean and in a great location. Had a view of the river from my room. Bartender was pleasant and had excellent suggestions for great dining. Front staff was helpful. Only complaint (minor) was a very noisy elevator. Would recommend and would stay there on another visit. Bedding was exceptional.
Rooms need some updating. The bathroom is quite small. We could hear a train throughout the night. Close to walk to many places.
The nicest aspect of this hotel is the cheerful, responsive and helpful customer service, including the valet service employees . Our room was clean, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to store our luggage with front desk and leave our car parked until 3 pm while we attended an event at the convention center, which was a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Shoutout especially to Leo in the valet service for excellent service.
I met my family in San Antonio to spend a weekend with them. We aren’t rich so we needed a hotel that didn’t charge $200 to $300 a night. We also needed a place close to the Riverwalk and other important locations like the Alamo. Although the facility is older and could use a little updating, it was clean and comfortable. The staff is where it really shines. The Valets were amazing, every one of them! I drive a Tesla and they plugged it in for me and had our cars available quickly. The front desk was very responsive to our requests. Every staff person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Perfect representation of Texas charm. Thanks for making this trip special for us.
Great very cool and quirky foyer area to check into the hotel with some old school games and a movie screen off to one side.
Location was great as very close to the River walk but not right in the middle of town which helped to keep the rate down a little. Room was clean and tidy but new mattresses would be a great idea.
Had dinner and drinks at The Gravel and Denise was absolutely incredible. The most amazing service and her drink suggestions and skills were unbelievable!
The options of dining and a bar located in the hotel. Also, the location on the Riverwalk. The hotel was a little dated, but overall it was clean and the staff were amazing.
We just checked in, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.. especially Denise, Emily, and the Valet Manager… all were very super helpful and a joy to speak with.
I would highly recommend this place for a unique stay.
Let me begin with how kind the young lady at the front desk was with me at the time that I arrived it was way before my check in time on December 31. But even though that I was early that young lady was able to help me by extending my staying one more day, and also keeping my luggage until I was ready to do the check in. So I went to get a luggage cart Mr Leo helped me with that. Also I was able to leave my car with the valet crew, so I can walk around while waiting for check in. I have to say the valet parking crew were exelent, Mr. Frank G, Luis, and Haley, and the young one that got my cellphone. The entire crew was great. Now I have to say. Every little concerned, or issue that I had was resolved right away, that includes the maintenance little issue.
Location, I have to say pretty good. I was able to walk around the downtown area with no problem. Atmosphere very good. It is a bring your family type of thing. My room had a nice view. I don't really travel that much so, when it comes to talk about price I am not sure, I just going to say from December 31 to Saturday January 3, three nights, two days, and valet parking, plus taxes $553. Everything was clean. And I have to say for an old building it was great. Noise level I have to say you can still hear from outside even though that I was on the fifth floor. But inside like on the hallway it was quite. Amenities, on that I have to say that the Internet was very, very slow. Everything was great. So I have to say to the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel, thank you for your hospitality.
Ps.
The hotel needs a stronger policy on smoking weed inside the hotel.
Other than that I will see you next time.
