It’s a beautiful property , it does not seem
Like a hotel but feels like you are doing a homestay which it is , with all the privacy that comes with a hotel .
Interiors are plush and outdoors are beautifully maintained

The gracious host and hostess are kind enough to grace us with their conversations which really help you absorb the history of not only this 100 yr mansion but also of Jodhpurs royal family lineage .

Last but not the least is the hospitality of the staff - absolutely heart warming humility and their penchant for your care

An amazing time - looking for reasons to come back !

Ratan Vilas is a gem of a boutique heritage property in Jodhpur. The 100-year-old mansion is beautifully maintained with quiet courtyards, lush gardens, and a wonderful swimming pool. The staff provides world-class, attentive hospitality, the rooms are spacious and immaculate, and the food served in the evening courtyard is fantastic. It felt like a true home away from home—10/10 recommend!
A special mention must go to the host family, particularly the wonderful owner who also oversees HR. We had a lovely, long conversation with her and were thoroughly impressed by her elegance, maturity, and thoughtful perspectives across a wide range of topics. Engaging in such genuine, personal conversations truly made our stay feel special and highlighted the exceptional warmth of their hospitality.

Excelente hotel. Hemos estado alojados 2 días y ha sido una estancia maravillosa. Las instalaciones son espectaculares, todo nuevo, cuidado al detalle y super limpio. El personal super amable y atento a lo que se precise. El desayuno tipo buffet variado y con fruta fresca deliciosa. La piscina es una maravilla para darse un baño refrescante tras un largo día recorriendo la ciudad. La cena deliciosa y la musica en directo le da un toque mágico. Si volvemos alguna vez a Jodhpur repetiremos seguro. Recomendable 100%

An AUTHENTIC experience of Jodphur
Pros:

Staying at the heritage hotel Ratan Vilas was a privilege, like staying with family friends from a past time.
The layout of the hotel is totally intact, with large, traditionally-furnished rooms opening onto the charming women's quarter courtyards, while delicious meals are served out on a terrace by a charming garden set in the hotel's impressive period architecture.

Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of western and Indian dishes, but what made it so special was the impeccable service, ready to whip up an preference at a moment's notice. The same goes for the reception staff, especially helpful and super-efficient Yukti!

However what made our stay extra special was the welcome given by the great-grandson of Maharaj Ratan Singhji, Brijraj Singh, his wife Namrata Singh, and their daughter Darshyamini. The guests' lounge is the family sitting-room, full of family photos and silver, and getting to know the family history through our charming hosts was what made it most special!

There might be grander and more luxurious hotels in Jodphur, but you surely won't find one more charming and authentic.

Un angolo di tranquillità a Jodhpur
Pros:

Struttura situata in un palazzo storico circondato da un bellissimo giardino. Il posto è davvero curato e accogliente, la stanza spaziosa e pulitissima. Posizione un po’ defilata ma meglio così. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell albergo ed è davvero di buon livello. Staff gentile e disponibile.

Cons:

Filtrava luce in camera , per cui per chi ha il sonno leggero è un problema. Tantissime mosche in giardino che non ci hanno fatto godere pienamente del relax in piscina. La colazione dolce è davvero limitata.
