Pros:

If you want to find piece of mind and a trully relaxing hot spring, this is the place. As for the localization, the hotel is a few minutes' walk from to train stations, which allow you to access easily important touristic points in Hakone. And if you are a foreigner too much shy about bathing in a public hot spring, the hotel offers you two excelent private onsen.

A nice relaxing stay
Pros:

It’s a beautiful resort for solos, couples and family travellers. Private onsen available if you want privacy. Food was great, with desserts & wines at nights.

Cons:

No bedside lamp. It was difficult to read books.
The room was quite hot even at lowest temperatures (20C) with strong wind, the duvet was quite thick

Family friendly, comfortable hotel with accommodating staff in a beautiful setting
Pros:

Easy access from the Hakone railway, and a quick walk to the open air museum or the town of Gora. Room was beautiful, and we all enjoyed the private onsen tub in the bathroom. The staff were lovely and helpful. My kids loved the yukatas, the manga library, the plethora of free drinks/popsicles and snacks, and the lounge. I liked the foot bath in the garden and the very user friendly onsen

Cons:

The hotels onsen was clean and well set up but is entirely enclosed without any views. I would have loved an outdoors onsen, but the foot bath did provide an outdoor area to enjoy. There are many many families enjoying this hotel with young children. If you have young kids, this is the place to come! If you don’t have young kids, and don’t particularly like kids, this is not the place for you. We quite liked the family friendly vibe ❤️

Extremely happy with our stay!
Pros:

Beautiful location and hotel! The condominium was spacious and we loved having a private onsen in the room. We were worried about the sofa bed for our son who is 5’ 11”… he had more than enough room and said the couch was super comfortable! Snacks, drinks and the breakfast were plentiful and delicious. Hakone Yutowa is also close to transportation and great restaurants.

Cons:

That we didn’t stay long enough to try all of the amenities ; )
