All and all. Great place

Pros:

Staff were absolutely lovely and the room was a great size and very clean. Some furniture and bathroom was slightly worn out but still did the job great. However, we stayed on a saturday night and it was very loud until about 3 in the morning. Some earplugs left in the room would have been a great small thing to do to rectify this. But overall would happily stay again (if with earplugs).

Cons:

In a loud part of town so quite disrupted sleep.

Wouldn't stay here as family again.
Pros:

Staff was reasonably polite and attentive

Cons:

There is an charge for valet of $56 USD per night. Rather excessive. Also, we found socks in our room from the previous guest which only makes it clear cleaning wasn't done properly

Pros:

Marry at the reception was super helpful and funny.
Walking distance to gaslamp, convention, little Italy.

Cons:

The hotel is nice but has seen better years .
Area is quite noisy and sometimes a lot of strange people on the street.

Provided us with a roof over our heads and we are thankful for that.
Pros:

I thought the room was clean and the staff were nice.

Cons:

I didn’t like that the doors to each room were glass with a curtain covering them it didn’t feel safe. I could hear partying until 3 am on a Friday night and multiple other loud sounds and music on different days. There was homeless near and it did not feel safe with a young baby. Also, you basically have no choice but to do valet and the price for that was outrageous. There’s public parking next to the hotel, but not a safe area as there were multiple homeless and people on drugs.

Old property without frills in a great location
Pros:

Location!!! It’s perfectly situated in gaslamp

Cons:

Old, dirty. Weird smells from the restaurant. Beds horribly uncomfortable.
