Great location
Only one lift which was slow.
The room was adequate for my needs, a 2 night stay whilst attending an all day conferenec on Friday 18th. The bed was comfortable, I slept well in the main. The en suite lookes clean and sparkling, possible recent refurb. Whole experience let down to by annoying failures , and apparently uninterested staff for guest assistance.
2 lifts for 9 floors 100+ room, one lift out of use, probably for several days before I checked in. Witha 3rd floor room, I don't mind walking down on occasion, but at 74yrs witha heart condition & a pacemaker, walking up is too great a challenge. LIFT service very slow of course as many guests need to use it especially for higher floors. Crittall windows , long overdue for replacement. TV in my room 315 Not working, set to 'STORE MODE' which probably needs to be reset entirely for hotel or home use. When notified, a staff member came to have a look on Thursday evening. He spent several minutes proving the TV would not access any channels, or connect to internet for streaming programmes. He said another staff member would take a look on Friday, as I was out all day until 5.30pm. 2) Friday morning, stood under the shower, got wet, NO SOAP product in the dispenser. Had to step across to the sink to get some soap to wash properly. Reception informed as I left the hotel at 08.00, said it would be attended to promptly. NO evidence that anyone bothered to enter my room to sort out the TV, or refill the soap dispenser. A short stay spoiled by basic failures.

Needed more direction signs in corridor. No fire escape map on hotel door. Bed uncomfortably hard. Noise from street below non stop.

Check in was more depressing than signing on the dole in a crowded reception even though I had checked in on line
One of the lifts was out of order so queues were long each time you needed the lift (I’m 76 stairs are not a real option to the 4 th floor)

Its not cleaned properly. The noise insulation is basically non existant, u can hear anything from the other rooms

First room that I was given had not been cleaned well after 5pm. Previous guests water bottle and room key on table. Duvet not changed and had dirt marks. Generally hotel and room not clean, had to buy antibacterial wipes to wipe every surface. Only on lift working.

Entrance down dirty, smelly alley with homeless sheltering set a poor scene. The shabby lobby and common areas continued that feel. I was on the 9th floor, one of the two lifts out of operation and the second felt/sounded like it was about to expire. Woken at 4:30 in the morning by water cascading from my air conditioning unit. This was obviously not a new occurrence as the carpet below was wet when I arrived.
