Pros:

Location was great, central to everything in birmingham

Cons:

Room was basic, no hot water in the room, heating wasn't very warm, mattress was very thin, stains visible on the wall above bed.

Didn’t feel as relaxed this stay due to the smell if cannabis in the stairwell so was forced to use the lift.

Basic but clean and comfortable, all the facilities I needed were provided.

Cons:

One of the two lifts was out of action so as I was in and out of the hotel a few times carrying equipment it meant longer waits than I was happy with.

A decent budget stay in the town centre.
Pros:

I didn't realise how central the location was. Excellent in that it was a short walk from the train station and right in the middle, as far as all amenities were concerned. The room was spacious, warm, and cosy. The shower was a good size, and the water was nice and hot. The bed was comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep.

Cons:

I did have initial concerns about how secure the lock was on the door, but it was fine. I know these are complementary, but it would be nice to have a few more drink selections in the room, like hot chocolate sachets and alternative milks. An extra pillow and an extra cover would be appreciated. I would like to see the normal checking-in time brought forward. I know you can request this separately, but for ease, it would be nice for it to be generally 2 pm.
