Disappointed, the hotel was not as expected from online photos and descriptions.
Pros:

Comfortable bed. Updated bathroom. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The hotel looked dated and not four star. Arriving at the front of the hotel it was drab and colorless. Plants in the planters outside of balconies and on tables at the front would have helped. Carpets were old and looked grubby. The breakfast area was tucked away inside with no windows. The bedroom furniture was basic, a small wardrobe and no drawers to put clothes away. The hotel has seen better days.
Note that the hotel is a good 1/2 hour away from main areas of the island, so expect lots of walking!

my sister and I travelled for my birthday, it was perfect. Venice friendly and visually beautiful

check in was quick and we were allowed into our room earlier than stated on details, Staff were polite and friendly and very helpful,

La ubicación frente al Gran Canal es bellísima. Nos dieron una habitación con vista. El personal es muy amable.

Cons:

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas. El cobertor de la cama se veía muy viejo, desgastado. La cama era incómoda. El hotel necesita una remodelación porque está anticuado.

Preisleistung war super. Die Lage ist hervorragend.

Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend., Das Restaurant und die Qualität des Essens hervorragend. Sehr Sauber sowohl im Hotel aber auch die Zimmer, überall Klimatisiert. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend.

Cons:

Die Zimmereinrichtung war schon sehr veraltet und heruntergebraucht, dennoch alles sehr sauber, deswegen stört es etwas weniger. W-lan war im Zimmer kein Signal vorhanden, mussten immer in die Lobby sitzen um Internet zu haben.

Very pleasant stay
Pros:

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had booked a room with a canal view... not all of these rooms have a little balcony and ours didn't. Breakfast was reasonable. Location was good for the main water bus routes. Some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Air con in the bedroom was definitely needed during our stay.

Cons:

It was all fine, but did book the room with the canal view thinking it would have the little balcony as shown against this room type so was disappointed it didn't. Tight squeeze into the ensuite but the facilities in there were good.
