The breakfast was good, it has to be pre ordered, so presumably fresh cooked. The evening meals were excellent, not a huge menu, which is probably a good thing. All food was well cooked and very well presented.
Room and lovely deep bath
Staff were very helpful
Lots of parking
Bed on 1st night was like sleeping on the floor it was so hard. Some of the food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant
Steps to first level were vet steep
Lovely & welcoming
Clean and comfortable
Everything we needed was available
Excellent value
It was a comfortable stay for the duration and need.
The showerhead did not stay up so it was uncomfortable to shower but there was hot water so I made it work.
Staff were lovely and informative
Loved the garden and that it was well lit (took a dog, important for loo breaks)
Loved that they did a pup box for their dog visitors
The bed was quite comfortable and spacious (big single?)
I liked that the windows could open (some places you can't and it's a nightmare when hot!)
Adjustable radiator
Free parking
The lock on my door was quite hard to open and fiddly (old key type)
WiFi very poor (says high speed but couldn't even get it most of the time and it stated 2G which isn't fast)
No plugs on bed side of room
Shower curtain came down (extendable pole not held up with anything.
Little bit dated
Parking spaces a little tight so it's hard to bring things in/out
Little tight getting around the beds (wouldn't be able to wheel a suitcase in around them)
Lovely attentive staff. Really comfy bed. Easy parking. Cosy place. Great food in the restaurant.
It was noisy in the room when people walked past the door, creaky floors and thin walls. But people weren't up late to keep me awake so no real problem.
We arrived much later than planned, and the hotel reception was closed, but a very helpful staff member phoned me as I was on my way to take payment over the phone and gave me the code I needed to access the hotel.
I wasn’t expecting much for the money, but the room was great. Spacious and comfortable beds, as well as being very clean. A little dated but that was fine. Thoughtful touches like bottles of water and biscuits too.
The surrounding area is lovely, with a range of shops and restaurants a stone’s throw away.
We were going to the NEC for Crufts and the hotel were happy for me to leave my car in the car park all day, so we had a 10 minute walk to the station, 7 minutes on the train and then we were right at the NEC, at £3.10 for a return ticket. Saved so much hassle with traffic and parking, as well as being a much cheaper option than staying in Birmingham.
Nothing.
Loved the complimentary dog pack
Stayed many times ,always a warm greeting usually stay downstairs, comfortable and quiet, breakfast is excellent value along with the drinks and the restaurant.
Upstairs room not as quiet as downstairs
Excellent breakfast and dinner
Very good food .would recommend the restaurant..
Could do with updating abit ..
Staff were very helpful, the bed was comfortable, if very loud. Great location on the main road by the centre of the village.
The decor is quite old and tired, much like the furniture and bathroom. The tv struggled with most channels, the Internet is atrocious.
Great food
The staff. Really friendly and helpful. I always try to stay at smaller independent hotels as I feel they need my money more than huge global chain hotels. The shower was temperature controllable and plenty hot water and I slept very well. I had a very nice stay. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff.
The staff were lovely, clearly hard-working. The shower was good and the rooms were clean.
It is quite run-down but the price reflects this. The bed was so hard I couldn't sleep.
Room a bit dated but functional!
