We stayed here one night before a cruise. The hotel had free shuttle service to/from the FLL Airport which was great. This is an older hotel in a convenient location. Restaurants, groceries and shopping are all within walking distance. The hotel itself is showing its age. The rooms are dark, the gym is very small as is the lobby. The staff was not super friendly but they did their jobs. Free bottles of water were given at check-in. I am not sure if this is a perk or a necessity as the unit to fill water bottles was not working. Whichever it was, it was a nice gesture. The free breakfast was good and the lady in charge of the breakfast was friendly and was working hard to keep platters full and counters clean. The hotel offers shuttle to the port ($15 per person) for those going on a cruise. About the only negative was the laundry service. Washers & dryers are located on floors 2 & 4. To use, payment must be with credit card. I was overcharged for usage. When I brought it up to the front desk, the night shift person said an adjustment/credit will appear on my final statement. When I checked out the next morning, I asked the front desk person (different from the night shift) about the credit not being on my statement. She said she was told about it but the person who authorized the credit was mistaken. A third party vendor owns the washers & dryers so I needed to call them to get my money back. I was given a phone number on a post-it of who to call. This was a very frustrating conversation and not a great way to start a cruise vacation. For a one night stay, this hotel is okay. If you are staying in the area longer, there are nicer, brighter, bigger, and newer places to have a true vacation and not just a pitstop.
We specifically chose this hotel because it was a Hampton Inn and it was close to the ship pier in Ft. Lauderdale. We also chose this location because Hampton Inn was supposed to pick us up from the airport. I want to say, the hotel NEVER picked us up. We called 3 times for a pickup. The number we called was directly to the driver that was supposed to come get us. He kept saying he was on the way. We waited almost 3 hours. In that 3 hours we stood in a taxi line at airport and watched at the same time for their van....nothing. When we checked in my husband politely let the front desk know what happened. I will give the employee helping us credit. He made our situation right. We did not have to pay the 15.00 per person that they charge to take us to the pier. We received a genuine apology as well. The hotel was fine. The room was clean and quiet. Most guests staying here are also going or coming back from a cruise. Breakfast was what is expected at this location. Coffee was hot. The hotel is in a great area. You can walk across the street and have a meal and there is a Sprouts grocery store to pick up any sundries and snacks you want. The price to stay here is high but that is Ft. Lauderdale and it was close to the ships.
So busy checking in but Elicia and Ausha couldn’t be more efficient and helpful. Great stop before cruise, nice rooms. We will be back.
Clean room, comfortable beds (even the pull out couch), and friendly accommodating staff. Great location, walkable to restaurants and shopping.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but our room was NOT what I expected when I booked at the Hampton. Old rooms, tile floor was dirty, it needs updating badly.
The rooms were old but clean except the floors in our room. The staff was friendly and very helpful

Greatest
Great!
Slept well!
Very old and run down… staff was nice
Staff was courteous and location was key
The staff was amazing, they’re very helpful. The location of the hotel is great, next to everything. The hotel and rooms are very clean.
When we entered the hotel at 10pm there were 3 other people in front of us. I expected a tired staff member. When it was our turn, we were greeted by Elicia S who was very upbeat and pleasant. Our room was standard. It was clean and comfortable. We were tired from traveling. In the morning at 7am Elicia was again at the front desk. Again, she was very outgoing. She stated her coworker had covid so she was covering for her last night. Breakfast was the usual Hampton buffet.
We booked this hotel because we were going on a cruise and flew into FLL. It would be great if one was going out of the port of Fort Lauderdale. We were going out of Miami. Elicia helped us book a ride to the port. It was in a nice luxury van, but the cost was 100dollars and it was one hour away. The same cost as a taxi.
I would not hesitate to book again if I was going out of the port of FLL
There were restaurants within walking distance.
Breakfast was good.
Very nice room, which was an upgrade kindly offered because we arrived early and our booked room was still being prepared. Staff was very efficient and polite throughout our stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and had plenty of healthy choices and delicious options. We stayed only for one night prior to a cruise. Definitely would recommend.
This hotel really needs an update. It doesn’t appear to be that old but it is very worn. The room was definitely not worth the money. Do not expect to check in before 4 pm. Front desk staff is so-so. The “secure” parking really isn’t secure by any means. We took the shuttle to the port at $20 per person (3). It’s one way and they don’t pick up. We took a taxi back to the hotel $28 plus tip total. The only good thing I can say about this place is location, location, location. Starbucks, Outback, shopping areas are all within walking distance even for older folks.
2nd time staying here for a pre-cruise overnight. Clean, spacious rooms and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Close to the port. The young lady at check-in was very professional and recognized my Hilton Elite status and offered me 2 bottles of water. It was busy and I appreciated her doing this during Avery efficient checkin.
