If you're looking for a cheap hotel to experience Mackinaw, this is it.
Pros:

I liked the price, and I also liked the location being very close to the ferry. It also had its own beachfront, which was really nice.

Cons:

Like most of the hotels in Mackinaw, they seem to be very dated. Our particular room had very old carpet in it, which seemed pretty gross and very dusty in the corners.

Pros:

Manager is terrible broke my ankle on the stairs. What’s an awful experience the room for dirty a waste of $600
Pools were absolutely disgusting

Good place to stay in town and close to restaurants / ferries.
Pros:

The location was great, right on the water with a beautiful view of the straights. The room was pretty large and fit 5 adults although the pull out couch / bed was very uncomfortable.

Cons:

Parking was terrible, if you arrived later in the afternoon or evening it was a hunt to find a spot and then a long walk to the room. Pool / hot tub closed at 11 which was inconvenient a closing at 1AM would be more reasonable, after spending the whole day on the island and then getting dinner it would have been nice to relax in the hot tub.

The location is awesome! I love how they had fire pits along the beach, it was a great way to enjoy the evening.

Cons:

Breakfast closed right @9:00am...10am would have been more reasonable I feel.

How close it was to activities

Cons:

No fans in the bathroom; the size of the trashcan, noisy a/c unit in the 2nd bedroom, low water pressure, stairs to our unit and the price of the room

Not to bad , when rates keep going up, you think updates would be done.
Pros:

Good location, nice beach 🏝️

Cons:

2nd time staying there, could use a lot of up dates. Like new Beds , carpets, more parking. The pool needed to be cleaned. Dirt on bottom of the pool. Hot tub was ok 👍

Pathetic stay at the pathetic hotel
Pros:

Nothing at all.

Cons:

The room was not properly done, locks on bathroom doors were not working. WiFi password mentioned in key holder and the documentation was different, whereas the actual was totally different for which I had to go to leasing office again. Staff was really not worried about customer they were only worried about completing their shifts.

The room was filthy! Stains on the wallpaper (which I wiped with a wash cloth and it came off-so why can't housekeeping do the same thing?). Our sheets had questionable stains on them. The corners on the room were not vacuumed. The balcony was covered in spiderwebs and spiders, making it almost un-usable-but fortunately I used the same washcloth to clean them away. The pool area was filty and the pool bathroom was un-usable.

Pros:

The price was cheap, but I felt we got what we paid for. No extras. The room was clean, but had an odd smell (strong cheap cleaner).
Breakfast was very basic.
It was close enough to the island ferry, we could walk to board the ferry.

Cons:

Pool looked gross so we didn't swim. The whole pool are needed to be updated.
Breakfast was a very basic breakfast.

Great location, super nice people, yummy breakfast !!
Pros:

The location was fabulous. We parked the car on Thursday afternoon and didn't have to move it till we left on Saturday morning. We walked to the ferry pick up, shopping area, brewery,pizza place and a great fish (Hook) restaurant. The sandy beach was right there with chairs and firepit. It was just a wonderful place for all. Breakfaat was super yummy. Had some different things on menu. Very nice people. We sat on beach till 11:30 one night and families were still out having a good time. I liked that every thing had it's own place. The Pool was in it's own building, so was the breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

The rooms need to be updated. We wanted to charge our phones but they had nowhere to do that in the room. Went to office they gave us a plug in and told us to bring it back in the morning. The tv was great but had extenision cords to plug it in just hanging down the wall. , same with the refrig and micowave. Not a good thing if you had small kids in the room.

trapped in the 70's
Pros:

Close to downtown Mackinac and the beach.

Cons:

The beach was rundown and unmaintained was rundown-a raking and pulling of a few weeds would make for a better waterfront area for customers. The rooms were run down. The tub was very high and for an elderly person not safe to shower in. The breakfast was upstairs and there is no way that is accessible for elderly. Could not find the elevator within a reasonable walk for elderly. Seems trapped in the 70's and needs an upgrade. Sheets had blood on them when we entered the room and had to be changed immediately. Pool was run down and not maintained low quality.
