The location was an easy 1.5 km to the main centre.
Cleanliness - it was a tired Novotel. Some staff were lovely but were overworked and overwhelmed but the shear number of guests.
The rooms could have been cleaner. We had to ask for the left swimming jocks from the previous guest to be taken several times.
One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I genuinely don't understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating.
The air conditioning barely worked during a very hot period, making the rooms unbearable and leaving my family exhausted throughout the holiday. Despite reporting it twice, reception simply said they were aware of the issue with no solution or update.
The lifts are far too small and slow for a hotel of this size, and on an occasion morning staff made loud noise moving trolleys and slamming metal gates above our room.
On two separate occasions staff just walked into my room without knocking, one at around 7am, just apologized and quickly closed the door behind them, this is simply outrageous, and caused me a major concern with security for me and my entire family.
Somehow after our room was cleaned someone must have also misplaced my daughter's sentimental toy, which stayed in her room. Reception checked but the cleaning staff hadn't seen it and couldn't even provide contact details for the off-site laundry company.
The hotel also advertises inconsistent room standards. One room had a modern smart TV while the other had an outdated TV. My request to change rooms was refused despite rooms appearing to be available online. The beds were squeaky, the pool was dirty, and the sun loungers felt unsafe, with people tipping backwards.
They also have no internal shop or the ability to buy any snacks, drinks, basic medicine, hygiene items etc a simple vending machine would have been very helpful, especially when you have children with you.
On departure, reception promised the manager would email me about these issues, but I never received anything.
We spent a lot of money on this holiday, and the hotel experience completely ruined what should have been a relaxing family break.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be aware. I won't stay at this Novotel hotels again, and I would recommend families to consider other options.
Dicht bij het centrum van Nice. Gemakkelijk om de tram te nemen naar de oude stad of het strand.

Le Novotel est un hôtel propre et efficace. La chambre était spacieuse et le personnel du bar et du ménage était excellent.
L’endroit est indiqué comme étant dans le Vieux Nice, mais il faut compter environ 15 minutes de marche pour y arriver. La promenade est assez simple, mais elle ne se trouve pas dans le Vieux Nice. Le stationnement est très limité, il faudra donc se garer dans un parking payant à proximité de l’hôtel.
Hotelli oli siisti ja hyvin Novotel ketjun tyylinen, hotellihuone oli siisti ja sängyt oli hyvät. Ilmastointi toimi hyvin.
Aamiainen oli melko suppea hotellin kokoon nähden,mutta se oli maukasta.
Uima-allas alue oli hieman siivoton ja vesi oli hieman sameaa.
a good hotel to stay overnight as it takes around 20 minutes to get to the beach and 30 minutes to walk to some attractions in the city centre. the room is rather clean, but air-conditioning produces noise. but I was so tired that it didn't prevent me from sleeping tight...the only remark is that the parking space near the hotel is very limited, just for 5-6 cars, but there's parking opposite the hotel,though not free of charge...
Veldig hyggelige ansatte. Flott at det var buss stopp og trikke stopp rett utenfor hotellet.
Basseng området var ikke spesielt hyggelig og manglet solsenger.
