Overall, the stay was mediocre — while the room was clean, the extra parking fee, the tiny bathroom, and the unfriendly
Pros:

The property felt clean. I think we happened to stay in a room that had already been modernized, and it was very clean.

Cons:

The room was clean and seemed recently renovated, which we appreciated. However, we were charged extra for parking even though we had already paid for our stay, which should really be included.

The bathroom was extremely small — the door barely opened because it hit the toilet. Our room also didn’t have a microwave, and the one in the common area was in very poor condition.

The staff was not very welcoming. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk, and when we arrived after 11 p.m. (with the lobby closed), the person who assisted us was quite rude.

Overall, there are definitely better hotel options in the area.

Pros:

Hotel was clean and the bed comfortable.
Breakfast was ok but not many tables so could be tricky to sit when busy.
We could walk out of the back of the hotel onto the riverwalk which was handy.

Cons:

The trains honk their horns all through the night which kept waking us up. I'd recommend earplugs for a good night sleep.

Home of the tiny bathroom.
Pros:

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is in a good location, walking distance to downtown, in a quiet area, easy access to the highway, good staff, great breakfast, clean rooms. Unfortunately someone thought that having a functional bathroom was not important. It wins the prize for the smallest bathroom imaginable. It contains a shower with no door and a toilet. The gap between the door and the toilet is less than 1/4" when opening and closing the door. It is difficult to find a place to stand while trying to shut the door. Because the shower has no door, the water goes everywhere and you have a nice pool on the floor when done. The TV channel selection is also on the very thin side. If you had basic cable and you then removed 60% of the channels, you would have what this hotel offers.

Great experience, very accommodating.
Pros:

Great experience. My room was ready two hours early, and I was provided a late check-out of 12pm, which was very helpful for my work. The staff were super courteous, and everything about my room was enjoyable.

The other thing I will say is that this location on the Riverwalk is ideal, because if you head towards downtown, it is only a 3-4 minute walk to the restaurants, bars, etc., but if you head the other direction, towards the King William neighborhood, it is the most pleasant, peaceful walk you will maybe ever experience. So in terms of location, this hotel is perfectly situated.

A walk to remember.
Pros:

Great location in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The view from my room was amazing, especially at night when everything was lit. The Riverwalk was the most amazing sight during our moonlit walk to go find something to eat.
