It was ok we were there for 1 night I wouldn’t stay there for longer. It is very basic, they need to clean the pool!!

The pool was dirty! And needs to be updated. The restaurant was closed no food at all on a weekend which is a big issue especially when you have children. At breakfast we were also told there was no chef!

Guter, ruhiger Zwischenstop
Pros:

Für unsere Zwischenübernachtung sehr gut gelegen, dazu noch idyllisch am See, wir haben uns im Pool erfrischt. Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstück. Wir konnten für Sonntag Abend kurzfristig und günstig buchen.

Cons:

Matratze des Sofabettes nicht ganz komfortabel, hat für die eine Übernachtung aber gepasst.

What happened to Novotel
Pros:

Great location, next to a lake and just off the autoroute. Plentiful breakfast

Cons:

Novotel has become a slightly posher version of Travelodge but without matching the price - 4 miserable teabags, no bedroom crockery, just paper cups, one bottle of water to share....Staffing is to the bone, so at dinner, service becomes flustered, rushed, hasty and without time for any interaction. The place is just soulless. Maybe other Novotels differ?

Very comfortable hotel with helpful people and easy access, surrounded by parks. Breakfast not great
Pros:

The room was super well prepared when we arrived late with our 13-month-old twins. The location was fantastic, next to the highway but still in a park, surrounded by greenery and calm. We were very happy to find a restful stop on our journey home.

Cons:

The breakfast was subpar for a relatively high price. There was some diversity of items, but the quality seemed to not be up to the standards of a four-star hotel.

An absolute disgrace and unhealthy for children
Pros:

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. The menu that they offer to children, despite marketing themselves as a family-friendly hotel, is an abomination. All that is available for children here is chicken nuggets and chips or slabs of slimy ham with rice. When I said that my children needed some vegetables with their meal, a standard requirement of human nutrition recognised by health authorities all over the world, they refused to give my children any vegetables to eat and told me they did not serve vegetables to children. I complained to multiple different waiters and to the reception staff, and no one would help us.

Also, the hotel was a sterile, miserable corporate environment, utterly joyless for small people. The staff are rude and objectionable. Every encounter we had was appalling. Avoid at all costs.
