We had a lovely stay in the villa part for this hotel.
Cosy and authentic to Norway.
After checking in you are left to carry your luggage up steep stone steps and find the right door of the villa. Once inside it's gorgeous.
There isn't curtains so the lights shines through all night. bring a mask for sleeping and it's v noisy. So if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.
The breakfast is in the main hotel . There's lots of choice.
The staff are welcoming and helpful.

Near the station which we used to travel to Oslo.
Centrally placed for the city centre and easy to walk to various places.
Very comfortable, helpful staff and architecturally a wonderful building. Excellent breakfasts with much healthy choices.
Coffee facilities in our room would have been appreciated though it was available in the foyer downstairs.
Everything was beyond criticism
Nothing not to like
The location was perfect for me, as I had to catch an early train and it was only a 2-minute walk to the station — that was the main reason I chose this hotel. The receptionist kindly moved me from a garden room, where I would have needed to walk outside in the cold to reach breakfast, to a room in the main building, which was more convenient. However, the new room was quite old and small compared to the original one
The hotel’s shared facilities were quite disappointing. The elevator felt rather old, and the entrance doors as well as the doors on each floor had to be opened manually, which was especially inconvenient for travelers with luggage. If I remember correctly, key cards were also not required to access each floor, which did not feel very secure
Reception staff were really pleasant.
Breakfast was really good.
The bathroom in the room was clean and fairly spacious.
The room. Poorly laid out no room to walk down the side of bed which was down 2 Poorly maintained steps.
Plus this room could do with a proper clean the floor was grubby.

Alt var helt nydelig, skulle spurt om bad med dusj. Det får jeg ta på min egen kappe. Badet var ellers greit. Personalet er veldig hyggelig og imøtekomne. Frokosten var veldig bra. For oss som kom med tog var beliggenheten perfekt. Flott hotell med fine folk. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit.
Litt tunge pumpeflasker med såpe på badet for oss med vonde hender.
