Mediocre but clean
Pros:

There is a good breakfast. Although they could improve the coffee makers to the last generation of Nespresso, which I just found in any small hotel in Brazil, for instance. Air conditioning worked fine, which is rare in Spain, and absolutely required in Madrid under 37 celsius!

Cons:

This 'minor' NH hotels seems to capitalize on the good reputation of NH en general, notably the top of their line 'Collection'. However one expects better from this hotel: the reception is awkwardly placed in the minimum space of circulation between elevators, entrance (which if you are carrying a heavy luggage, is three steps down). There is a lift, but it really seems too complicated for someone arriving from a long trip on train and impatient to get to the room!. The rooms corridors are disappointing with a very ugly fire protecting door between elevators and them. I noticed, while walking in the wrong direction on my floor, a 'cul de sac' door with awful chipping paint, which immediately translates as an obvious lack of management. This was an underwhelming NH experience, and probably for me the last one!

Cons:

Didn’t like that i did the online check in, yet still the check in took very long. There should be more staff in the front desk when it’s 15, the hour when check in starts.

Me dejé olvidado un cargador de móvil y cuando fui a que me dijeran si lo tenían guardado me informaron que tendría que haber avisado antes. Se supone que quien lo encuentre en la habitación debería entregarlo para poder retirarlo en recepción, pero no funciona así la cosa. El valor es ridículo, pero el servicio no está acorde con el establecimiento.

Muy buena relación calidad precio
Pros:

La ubicación es perfecta, cerca del transporte público, del parque del Retiro y del Museo Reina Sofía, además hay bares y supermercados cerca. La habitación está bastante bien, la cama es muy cómoda y la cafetera y el hervidor de agua es un plus, además la botella de agua de cortesía también me pareció muy bien. El desayuno está muy bien, pequeño pero había de todo y el personal estaba atento de que no faltara nada. Todo el personal en general muy amable.

Cons:

Por poner una pega, la habitación es interior y las luces que hay resultan insuficientes.
