The staff was nice and it was located close to the beach
THERE WAS A ROACH INFESTATION IN OUR ROOM
Ms. Vanetta, who checked us is was very pleasant and helpful -- a big plus. Other staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful, but unfortunately we do not know their names. When in the lobby area, we noticed the front desk staff was really very nice and helpful to all guests. The nearby beach is also really very nice, clean, wide, gentle taper (not crowded, but not isolated.) Going to the beach is about a ten-minute walk, but is mostly on a pleasant, elevated boardwalk in a wooded area, so very nice. Everything worked such as air conditioning, hot water, in-room refrigerator. Motel is clean and we were happy with breakfast -- we think most people would be satisfied with breakfast. This meets the we would stay there again test. If you have a car, the motel is close to two supermarkets and other shopping.
For some reason, when running the in-room air conditioning (which worked fine) the floor in our room became moist and slippery. This is not a big deal, but one should be careful not to slip if one has the same experience -- we heard at least one other guest ask about the same is sue at the front desk.
Clean and location
Very outdated.
Great location in comparison to the beach. One can walk to the beach.
Doors did not lock properly in first room. Had to wait for a second room.Bath tub had rust. Phone did not work and lock was not locking all the way. The only elevator was malfunctioning.
This is our favorite place to stay in Sy Augustine Beach. We especially live the beach access 😎 The cleaning staff works very hard to keep the place clean.
Because of the good price, this place sometimes attracts sketchy patrons, who constantly smoke cigarettes in all of the outside areas...there should be a designated area for that!, Also, maybe we didnt see it, but there should be an outside spigot to rinse sand off of human feet and dogs, etc. I'm sure the hard-working cleaning staff would appreciate that.
Nothing and i want a refund
There was mold everywhere.
There were holes in my bed comforter.
There was human hair on my shower curtain and in the hand sink.
There was rust everywhere.
The toilet was stopped from leaking by the staff stuffing toilet paper around the hose.
The staff was great
Rooms are dated
the metal bed frames i kept kicking them and its loud.
The room is nice and the pillows needs better one
I was disappointed that I came in another room. The beds were not made yet so they moved us to other room which we arrived after midnight. We are so tired. Everything is good after that.

Everything bad. No shower curtain, means everything get wet, even the paper toilet, no maid to take care of room, no very friendly receptionist. Room dirty and in bad condition.
The breakfast was good: sausage, eggs, and waffles. The pool was clean. It’s close to the beach and restaurants. It’s a really great place to stay.
I liked everything.
The elevator, close proximity to the beach without the heavy foot traffic.
The property is across from the beach, a lovely boardwalk, shaded path with beautiful trees and marshes to look over as you walk to the beach. You can also drive on the beach for about 10$ and pick a spot. Lots of room- not like Daytona…. It didn’t bother me not being “on” the beach because the walk was worth it. Stunning boardwalk over the marsh and swamp with trees and flowers. If you have small kids, bring a wagon… too far to be carrying a bunch of beach gear, but solo walking with a few things is good.
The rooms were clean, the vibe was chill, staff was cool and super friendly. Hot breakfast, waffles, egg patty, sausage, yogurt oatmeal cereal- decent. The service was AMAZING!!! the staff were all so nice.
Unexpected “damage” deposit, I hate having to check after weeks of that getting retuned. A hold would be better.
