Our Stay was pleasant. We enjoyed our 13yr anniversary.
Pros:

The location. Being it was next to the beach and the trolley tour was a plus.

Cons:

The breakfast selection should be expanded. More choices is what keeps the crowd pleased.

BIOHAZARD & SAFETY ALERT - UNSAFE FOR FAMILIES

Wish I could give 0 stars. I stayed here with my children and it was a health nightmare. We found dried blood on the pillows and brown stains on the linens. The HAVC did not work.
​The room is falling apart: there are holes in the walls near exposed plumbing, the refrigerator was completely frozen over and non-functional, and the bathroom fixtures are covered in severe corrosion and grime. To make matters worse, the officeManager Kevin was incredibly rude, hostile, and told me 'I cannot help you' before I even finished speaking. I wasn't even offered a different room or an apology. I have reported this location (Property #FL609) to Choice Hotels Corporate and the Florida DBPR for health and sanitation violations. DO NOT risk your family's health here

Pros:

The location was very close to the venue I was visiting for an event. And not too far from St. Augustine Historic District either. The staff were friendly and quick to check in/out.

Pros:

St. Augustine A1A location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are in fairly decent condition for a beach area. Breakfast is decent with waffles, sausage and eggs, cereal, yogurt and bread for toast.

Great location with a lot of amenities
Pros:

The location is great with beach access across the street, old town trolly beach bus stop out front to take you to the historical district and the area is quiet even during spring break. It is an older hotel so don’t expect a brand new build, but the rooms are modern and updated with clean linens. The hot breakfast was great and had a variety of items. The staff is outstanding as I had a booking issues due to my mistake and the staff worked with me to correct my issue. There is a Publix a mile down the road with some restaurants that made shopping convenient. We will definitely be coming back for a future visit.
