Inn at Union Square

Efficient staff, attentionnate and professional. Able to guide us and offer information. The registration was an easy process.

This little inn surprised me with a darling superior king with a nicely appointed front sitting room in addition to a hallway and king bedroom on the back. Sitting room overlooks Post St with a functioning window wall over the fire escape. Very welcoming and bright. TVs in each room. Bed is very comfortable. Lots of fluffy clean towels. No air conditioning might be a problem August-October but otherwise not an issue. Ceiling fans in both rooms. Big plus is the filtered water available no cost.
Wish they had coffee service in the lobby before 8am. Rooms have little coffee makers but only powdered creamer. Shelf stable half & half pods work be an upgrade. Tiny complaint. This is a well priced, perfectly located snuggly spot in the city. I’ll definitely return.

Excellent location, clean, fresh updating of room(s) in an old building. Comfy King bed with fresh linens and decent pillows, Bathroom finishes bright and clean as well. The split suite design put the decent sized bathroom between the modest sized bedroom and a similar sitting room: made the otherwise tight quarters feel very comfortable and quirky (note- two steps up to the bathroom).

Negatives; our windows (203) faced a brick wall across a three foot gap, giving a claustrophobic effect and zero view/little light. Room was nicely quiet. Tiny entry and old elevator further revealed the modest bones of the older building. Very forgettable/limitedcontinental breakfast (but coffee good, including in room).

Bottom line: a great choice at this price point.

I had an incredible experience with wonderful customer service and a delightful stay at your hotel. I was greeted by the best hospitality and front desk service by your staff member. I was especially impressed by Mary Jane’s great attitude and willingness to help me check in. She greeted me with a very warm welcome and smile and was very polite and pleasant to interact with. I will definitely be back!

Very clean rooms and comfortable bed. And quiet! Daily maid service if you need it. No need for a rental car. With the ideal location you are walking or short taxi cab distance from everything. You are surrounded by eating and drinking choices. I'll be staying here again.

We had a fabulous experience during our stay at the Inn. So close to restaurants and supermarkets and many attractions. Antonio was super duper helpful and informative. So we’re all others , they went out of their way to help especially as I had a little toddler with me . Rooms were cleaned daily and so nicely everything was stocked .
I really loved the breakfast. There is enough options of items to get up full and satisfied.
So many pastries and coffee and tea selections and they had oat milk too . Pastries are restocked so no need to worry that it runs out .
We didn’t like the amount of homelessness around but that’s the case of downtown everywhere in the world . But using the robot taxis made it so much fun to travel to all tourist spots . Thank you Antonio .. U are a gem .. good job👍👍👍

A fabulous stay at this boutique hotel. Clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. From booking until checkout, staff were communicative. Continental breakfast provided fresh food and a good variety.
Great location to central shopping district, restaurants and close access to Cable car for 10 minute ride to Fisherman's Wharf, via Nob Hill and Chinatown.

The staff at The Inn at Union Square is friendly, the rooms are quaint and clean. Plus there is a continental breakfast that makes getting out the door easy so you can enjoy your stay in San Francisco.

The shops are nearby. The AC in our room wasn't working but its okay as the weather was cooler.

Clean room, friendly staff, great location

Good hotel, but they illegally charged some pade up fees 2 days after we left the hotel. I am not sure how can they even be allowed to use my credit after I leff and without any booking or communication notice and for what exactly.

Central hotel with incredibly lovely staff. Quiet street but there are some sketchy areas surrounding, especially at night. Avoid the park square a block away and tenderloin at night. The room has the essentials but no ac unless requested. Room was pretty hot even with the ceiling fan but we didn’t know we could request an ac unit. Would recommend doing so if you run hot. There was an issue with our room and we told staff and they were able to navigate with ease and provide us with a new room. Very wonderful that they upgraded us and we were appreciative. Not much natural light in our original room since it faced a brick wall but we weren’t there for a view. There is a bit of an older lingering smell in the hallways and elevator but the rooms smelled fine. Breakfast was more of pastries and cereal and tea/coffee. Not bad but could be elevated. Overall, it is a great budget hotel with lovely staff. We got it for a decent price but would not have paid more than we did in the future.

The Inn is small but cozy, the staff at the front Antonio, Esly and David were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the classic San Francisco vibe, it is my new place when I’m in SF.

Nice stay that is central to a whole lot. The staff were very welcoming and friendly to us. There was an issue but they resolved it and we had a better time once it was. Appreciate the hospitality.

I love this location ! Probably one if not my favorite hotel in San Francisco. Antonio was very helpful and we had a wonderful stay ! Would definitely recommend anyone to come here and stay. The place is very romantic and the amenities are top notch.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room layout was beautiful. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and sinking in the middle. Additionally, it was rather warm and the hotel does not have AC. We appreciated the free continental breakfast in the morning
