We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well run hotel. Vladimir at the front desk was very helpful, particularly when we needed to extend our stay due travel problems caused by the snow storm. Cassandra was very helpful with pre-trip questions. Due to my Marriott Bonvoy level, we enjoyed staying on the Concierge Level, including the great breakfast in the lounge. The housekeeping was excellent. The swimming pool was a pleasure, as it was long enough to swim laps (probably about 20 meters in length) & very clean & peaceful. However, there are a few areas that could be improved: First, the Destination Fee includes numerous burdensome rules & requirements, which I would rather not spend my time & energy dealing with. Second, the hotel fee for self parking is extremely expensive & makes a hotel guest feel exploited. Third, the restaurant is a sad place to eat any meal in, having no ambiance whatsoever and a very ordinary menu. The lounge area, however, was lively in the evening and served great cocktails, but uninteresting, overpriced food. Overall, we enjoyed our stay due to our comfortable, quiet room and helpful, friendly employees.
Location
Extra fees
The JW Marriott Buckhead checks every box you’d hope for in a business hotel — and then some. The lounge is excellent, the bar and restaurant are genuinely good (not just “good for a hotel”), and the staff is the kind of attentive that feels natural rather than scripted.
Location is a real differentiator here. You’re steps from MARTA, which means easy access to the airport without the cab fare or the traffic anxiety, plus walkable distance to some of Buckhead’s best dining. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually enjoy the city between meetings rather than being stranded in a corporate bubble.
The rooms themselves hold up too. Comfortable beds, marble bathrooms, solid amenities — and depending on your floor, some genuinely impressive views of Atlanta. There’s also a fitness center and pool if you actually manage to carve out time to use them. The hotel is directly connected to Lenox Square as well, which is a nice bonus if you’ve got a few hours and need to decompress or grab something.
If you’re traveling for work and want comfort without sacrificing convenience, this one’s hard to beat.
Good location
Bed was awful
Beautiful!!
Nothing
My friends and I stayed at the JW Marriott Buckhead, and it was absolutely amazing. Better yet, is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and screams true luxury. In fact, we booked a large room with adjoining rooms for our daughters, which was perfect for our family and friends stay and the rooms were really large.
Additionally, might I add, that the front desk customer service receptionist was beyond pleasant and welcoming, including the valet to the lounge staff (Sheron). We also stayed on the 16th floor and the window views of Atlanta were unbelievable. The rooms were indeed spotless, the king-size bed and sheets were extremely comfortable, and the pillows were like clouds.
The 25th floor lounge food and room service food were very delicious; in addition to the lounge being beautiful and super clean.
Lastly, The JW Marriott is right next door to Lenox Mall. This was a major plus. Therefore, the JW Marriott Buckhead is now in my top three for superior hotels in Atlanta, and I will definitely be returning. I was extremely satisfied with my entire experience.
Cassandra was very nice and helpful.
Not many facilities. Very basic hotel
The reception tries to defraud us. We reported issue to Marriott head office
Fancy clean very upscale
I liked everything
Decided to stay here for one of the Pure Rooms. In theory, a Pure room should help with creating an allergen free environment with the air quality and cleaning protocols. Having the air purifier is a big bonus in these rooms. I also think it would be helpful if the Pure rooms were in better condition overall and were absent of other environmental allergens like mold. This property is quite old and is showing signs of its age. The bathroom had mold and there was cracking in the mouldings in the room. The bed was comfortable but some of the sheets were dirty. Compared to other JWs we’ve stayed at, this one didn’t meet the luxury experience you expect for the JW name and rates unfortunately. I think the standards for Pure rooms need to be reviewed at the execution level as the marketing is on point with many hopeful travellers looking for a solution to environmental allergens.
The room was exceptionally clean and room service was state of the art
