It too dark
Not to good
A fairly luxurious hotel with a theme (photography), the Hotel Indigo fairly much lived up to the hype.
The location is good - the quiet end of Flinders Street (literally on one corner of the CBD) but close enough to the 'central city' (shopping) to be a fairly easy walk.
We travelled for the tennis (Australian Open) and a bonus was the excellent placement of the large TV - on the wall, directly in front of the (very) large bed [just a it should be] - once back at the hotel we could continue watching the play in comfort.
Our 2nd floor room provided a relaxing view of a large tree directly outside a window - a pleasant bit of nature, right in the city.
We had an issue with housekeeping , though only on our second day after arrival [22 Jan / Room 220]. A 'scrunched up' toilet roll had been left on the bench area above the fridge and a cleaning rag left in the bathroom sink. On the same day the bed was badly (untidily) made. It was clearly a rush job. Fortunately these issues (previously unreported) never occurred again and the following day and those after the room was perfect.
Location was excellent, aesthetically the room was amazing, pillows were to die for, I slept extremely well
That I couldn’t take home the pillows on the bed
Size of the room
Was all good
Funky and good food
Shower was appalling wouldn’t stay again because of this, we complained but think it is how it is bad water pressure and I mean a dribble
The scrambled eggs were so fluffy and delicious and while the coffee took so time as it was very busy, it was really good on arrival. Lots of choice with delicious pastries.
Maybe some cooked tomatoes to go with the bacon/eggs
Spacious King room, large window with lovely tree hiding close buildings. Wonderful cotton percale sheets. Good shower. Great lighting.
Not as advertised. No garden terrace. no mini bar. Could not connect to stream Netflix etc.
happy hour, breakfast, dining rooms
I didn't spend much time at the hotel but it was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are simple and a little tired, but acceptable. And staff were friendly and helpful.
Incidentals were very expensive eg toast and jam for breakfast, especially when the toast was normal sandwich bread. For the price and the location, sourdough or bakery loaves would have been more appropriate.
perfect location, stylish rooms comfy bed
nothing
Location. Modern decor.
Heater was not working and had to take shower with cold water for 2 days until they finally switched me to a different room. My check out was at 10am but housekeeping buzzed at 9am asking to clean. Overall not customer-centric. Although the staff appears to be polite, but in reality service is not up to standard and staff is not very welcoming.
