Pros:

My experience was great because the staff were welcoming as well as absolutely amazing, especially Zarur! We need more people in customer service like him! The hotel is gorgeous however because our trip was for business we didn't get to explore and enjoy all the lovely amenities and beautiful ambiance that they offer.

Exceptional Service

My wife and I arrived at The Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa, CA, at 8:30 pm, spent after a tiring 12 1/2 hour drive from the Bay Area through Los Angeles, towing a trailer with a small sailboat. Salvador and Khalifa greeted us at the front desk. I needed a place to park the boat and trailer as well as my car. I would have been content with directions to the fire lane and the auxiliary parking lot, but Khalifa took it upon himself to
walk me to a good spot. Salvador used a flashlight and Khalifa helped me unhitch the trailer, and he put it in a spot where the mast wouldn’t get broken. The two men could not have been more kind. I tried to give Khalifa a tip but he graciously declined to accept it. They both exemplified the thoughtful, helpfulness that characterizes Marriott’s high standard of taking exceptionally good care of the customer. The Avenue of the Arts is one of our favorite hotels; we’ve stayed there for five years. It is one of the best places I know to enjoy a geat bed, very good food, and outstanding service. I won’t soon forget the kindness of Salvador and Khalifa.

Pros:

My wife loves the location. Close to south coast plaza and the airport. It’s always clean and the staff is always nice.

Cons:

I don’t love paying $40 to park overnight.
