Stopped in here on a motorcycle trip, and even though I was tired, dirty, and ready to take a long sleep, this was probably the worst option in town to do it in. The rooms are dirty, and they stink like air freshener and a hundred other smells. Keep driving. This isn’t the place you want to spend the night in. Gross.
Its not the room thats horribly bad. It is the attitude from the owner. I get along with everyone but this owner is atrocious. This is the 2nd time Ive given this place a chance and the LAST. His english is broken and hes basically yelling at you about what not to do in the room repeatedly. People are doing you a favor by renting a room from you. Have some courtesy!! For the smaller things. 2 guest 2 days, one little bar of soap, one sample package of shampoo. Empty tissue dispenser. I could've dealt with those things had it not been for the attitude. I dont think he likes Americans. What a shame.
1. Needs outlets near bed.
2. Two out of the four lamps had burned out bulbs.
3. The Kleenex dispenser in bathroom was empty.
4. The fridge was set at the warmest setting.
Checking in traveling without your husband but with your children, this business will assume that your children have no boundaries or adherence to rules of any sort. When told that it was just us, the front desk person checking us in stated "oh, no broken things please". I am happy to report that the children were able to control themseleves and did not damage the property. The property itself is dated, run down and leaves much to be desired. Keep driving folks, there are 2 other choices in town and both would be a better option.
Clean and fun environment
It was ok, at BEST. Extremely dated, and gloomy. Bath tub was debatable, I was wishing I had my flip flops with me! We ended up in smoking room, we picked handy and bottom park at the door. It was obvious housekeeping doesn't check behind or under NOTHING, which just makes you cringe. Beds were comfortable, a plus, and the Mexican restaurant on the front of the property was very good, walkable. Not many pluses to give on this one.
Just fine for a single guy. Little touches missing like no tissues in the dispenser. No big deal a a really good price.
Considering the price everything was pretty much acceptable except the toilet seat which was made form a very flexable ABS plastic would not stay up and was very unstable while sitting Cable and WiFi good bed OK clean
I would only stay here Again in a pinch. There were no bed bugs so that was nice but the bed was not comfy at all. It was like sleeping on plastic. I had booked my room online and when I got there they had no record of it. So instead of saying, "I'm sorry, there must have been a glitch, would you like to book a room?" they blankly stared at me and said, "there's no record of you booking." so not very accommodating.
Was inexpensive but bed was uncomfortable and neither of us slept well. Up very early and on the road.
No frills but good for a quick overnight stay.
Not the newest kid on the block. Nice clean facility next to freeway and yet very quiet. Loved the shower pressure... could have stayed under the water for days. Enjoyed my stay! Close to shopping center and area restaurants. Would stay again without any hesitation.
My girl friend and I were on our last leg of the Route 127 Yard Sale, and this was the last room available in town, which means we couldn't be picky. The marquis stated this hotel was under new ownership, so I am going to give the new owners a little bit of the benefit of the doubt. This was very dated, and needs some renovation. The fan attached to the light unit in the bathroom was so loud (with the door closed), you could barely hear the TV in the other room. There was an old toothpick on the floor in the bathroom, which makes me wonder how good the housekeeping is. They used a top sheet as a bottom sheet, and just tucked it in, which I hate because inevitably during the night you get all bunched up in sheets from moving around; it also creeps me out a bit to see the bare mattress showing in a hotel. It did have a frig., microwave and coffee pot which was a plus.
They had a pool, which looked like it had become a pond for god knows what, which takes me back to the fact they stated these are new owners, and I'm not sure how long they've had the place. The pool needs a complete overhaul, and they need to let customers know it is not in service at the moment, unless you're looking for a place for your pet frog to frolick in.
The girl at the desk upon our arrival was very sweet though, and tried to be as accommodating as possible, offering suggestions on eating establishments in the area.
I can deal with almost anything for one night, and when the options are few, leaves you with little choice.
I rented a room here for a friends wedding....a girlfriend and I were placed in a one bed room which was ehh okay whatever, its just one night. However, the bed was like sleeping on cardboard, the toilet would not flush (no matter how many times we filled the back), the T.V was muted and would not give sound until you muted and unmuted it about three times in a row, the sheets weren't even fitted to the bed, and there was no extra lock on the door. The next morning i went to check out and the desk person was asleep under the counter.
check in went smoothly Room was clean an all in order
Nice place for the price. Had many issues with the room key.
We reserved two rooms, and clearly requested two small dogs, but when we got there, the staff said that they did not allow dogs. So when I showed them my reservation and their statement online that they allowed pets, they told me that I needed to pay them $100 for the pets. While I was expecting that charge, they REFUSED to take that payment on my VISA, and insisted that we go to an ATM and give them cash. So, we did, and then they refused to give a receipt. Tax evasion? Probably.
Then, the next day when they were cleaning one of our rooms, we waited in the other room. The hotel manager banged on the door and started yelling at us that we cannot have the dogs in the other room at all. We asked what we are to do since they were cleaning one of the rooms, and he yelled at us that we have to wait outside.
The rooms were aged, not well kept and had broken fixtures as well as hot/cold water that was reversed. When we mentioned all of this, they did not care nor did they do anything about it.
Their swimming pool clearly had not been used in years, which is ok, except that it was full of brown water that is a breeding ground for mosquitos.
There is no frills. The bed was uncomfortable. The place is ok for the price.
Our stay was pretty good. The room was clean. It was on the main street. Close to restaurants and shopping. We would stay again.
Top notch place for the rating, which should be higher. Rooms were spotless, bed was very comfortable, beautiful water out of the shower, quiet, nice place to eat right in front. Any improvement I would suggest to have a few more items at the continental breakfast. Great place!
