Baymont by Wyndham Williamsburg

Place was terrible. The advertised breakfast and indoor pool were both in error. The pool was empty and there was no breakfast. Management sent us an email the day after our arrival in which they blamed the closures on Covid. There was a three inch hole in a hole. An electrical outlet in use had no cover. Another electrical outlet cover was cracked and caused our phone charger adapter to be very hot. The room was dirty and in need of painting. We were unable to control the heat. No blankets on the bed. There were many other issues.

Room was horrible. Broken furniture, missing furniture from photos of room booked, broken TV, broken bathroom fixtures, no trash can in the room and very poor lighting in the room. Dead cockroachs inside the lighting fixturea. Unswept floors. Broken exterior lighting making it dark and unsafe outside. Pool closed and in extremely poor condition. Garbage throughout the property. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!

Honestly the worst hotel I have ever seen. I don’t know how they are even in business. Really baffled how Wyndham lets them operate under their name. They claim to be a smoke free hotel but when you walk in the lobby you are hit with a stench that smells like day old cigarette butts. We got to the room and the door had previously been kicked in, it has the landlord special paint over the splintered wood and the door was lodged shut unable to be opened. The front desk changed me to a new room. Every room we passed had various issues with the doors. When I unlocked the new room, it swung open and the inside door handle was on the floor. It reeked of mildew. I refused to stay and requested a refund. The front desk said they would put it through but never offered me a receipt or confirmation, and has walked into the back and didn’t return. Will never use Wyndham ever again. Expedia should not even offer it through their services.

Worst hotel I ever booked. The room was dirty and roaches. Checked out 20 minutes after checking in. Asked for a refund but didn’t get one. This hotel is on the bottom of my list after 50 years of travel. Wyndham should get their name off of this hotel

The stay was ok. Had to have maintenance to our room to repair the toilet, sink, and towel bar. The front desk person was more worried about a phone call then the guest when we were checking in, but the service at checkout was kind and convenient.

We didn’t feel safe, the smoke detectors were laying on the dressers, missing security locks. Strong smell of smoke and marijuana, dogs barking, police and ambulance were there late night. We were given a key to a room that was occupied.

The check in process was different. There was only one person and they were no efficient.

Clean but old and run down

I was a lone traveler and just needed a few hours sleep. I was able to get my sleep and move on. room was a decent size, but needs maintenance and updating. while there was a TV, there was no remote.

I arrived my room wasn't ready. The room should have ready by 3pm. I had to wait 40 mins for my room. After getting my room. The room : TV did not work. Bathroom had 1 bath towels ,one wash cloth, and no soaps . Lucky, I brought these items when I travel anyway. The condition outside look terrible . Their cobb webs everywhere. Please do not go to this hotel. Horrible

Under no circumstance should anyone stay here. Travel apps offer just as good deals nearby.
To start with, good luck finding anyone at the front desk. Then, my room was absolutely the worst I've ever been in. Dirty, everything was broken (the drain under the sink, for instance, was not connected and water just ran out onto the floor). There's no trash can, only half a roll of toilet paper, a washcloth jammed into the hole where the smoke alarm should be, the list goes on. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This property needs to continue improving .

They cancelled my reservation at time of check in and I ended up not having a place for me and my family to stay for the night. Had to sleep in the car

Dirty, bad smell and bugs in the beds. Worse place ever. Never going back

Cancelled my room after check in time with two different reasons on 2 different phone calls. Left me scrambling to find a new hotel during a sold out weekend, ended up having to stay 45 mins away. Unacceptable.

They canceled our reservation at 4pm while we were already on the way to Virginia with no notice. Absolutely ridiculous, due to a “power outage”. Once I drives by then I realized they were lying the whole time.

Not good at all

This place should not be open for business. Holes in the walls. Bottom of bathroom door was ripped off (literally). The room stunk of smoke. Dresser drawers were broken. Inside front door was covered with black filth. AC did not work.

This place is so bad, it seems like you are in B movie or something. It's like someone designed it to be bad.

Trust me...stay away from this place.
