Good value
The room was very nice - the rennovations are making a difference. The bed was very comfortable . The room was very clean.
The bathroom was only halfway done, from what I could see. the walls and trim were not comleted, making it look less than nice. But it was clean. The hallways were not done yet, and it was difficult to be excited about what the room might look like with the dirty and stained carpet in the hallways. The breakfast looked nice, but the coffee was TERRIBLE. Really bad.
Lobby & breakfast area we updated & clean
Booked the last kind bed room. TV didn’t work moved to a 2 queen bed room. Window darkening curtain torn, sheer curtain black mold spots. Walls were nicked up. Decor old outdated. Lamp shades were wobbly & dirty on the insides. Bathroom grab bar not installed properly, towel bar hung crooked big time. Bathroom exhaust fan very noisy. Hallways are very dark. In the morning upon waking up saw 2 bugs in our room. Not sure what kind!
Breakfast was okay - cold cereal, instant oatmeal, waffle, yogurt, toast & bagel - overly ripened bananas, coffee & juice.
In a room w 2 queen beds it would have been good to have a second mirror. Lighting in the bath room was rather poor. No room cleaning unless u stay 4 days but we were provided clean towels when we went to the front desk. Breakfast was adequate but only bananas for fruit. Waffles and toast were the only warm items. Lighting in the room and hallway was a little dim esp for older people w poorer eyesight
Dated
The blackout curtains were ripped, so the room never got dark during the day or in the morning. I've never stayed at a hotel that had this happen before, it is a very cheap thing that should be fixed before the next person stays here.
Around midnight a truck backed up right in front of our room, and we started smelling diesel fumes after the truck ideles for close to 30 minutes, keeping us awake. I've also never seen such blatant disregard for other people's sleep.
Clean, serviceable room at a very decent price! We had an issue with our AC due to a storm. We were immediately given a new room across the hall.
The room appeared clean, however I found multiple bugs in the sheets! The check-in personnel did not know what they were really doing. Check-in process was rough. He didn’t know how to read a driver’s license and did not speak English very well at all. He was also confused and wanted to know why I wanted a different room after finding bugs in the beds.
Dirty & damaged paint. Damaged bathroom ceiling from water lrak upstairs. Breakfast was Fruitloops and mini Belgian waffles, for which there was a line.
My husband and I were Choice Hotel members many years ago until the condition of their hotels began to go downhill. Quality Inns were one of the worst as far as poor conditions go. However, since I was struggling to find an affordable room in Holland, MI, and since there were many very positive reviews of this hotel, I decided to take a chance. Sadly, I regretted it the minute we walked in our room. Every wall was in desperate need of being painted. in the room and the bathroom. The walls were dirty and marred. There was even a big glob of toothpaste on the all next to the sink. They had patched a large area above the shower but never bothered to paint over it. The bathroom door had been scratched all up and down it and was also dirty. The sheers on the window had mildew all along the bottom hem. The room smelled musty and sour, I'm assuming from the air conditioner. The beds were clean and comfortable but, other than that, I have nothing good to say about our room. I don't know where the people stayed that left the positive reviews, but it couldn't possibly have been THIS hotel!
Clean, comfortable, nice 2 night stay to visit in town. Just a little hard to see the entrance.
It’s affordable, close to downtown Holland. Staff barely speaks English, it seems to be a hotel for workers from Japan that work at a factory nearby. They sit outside and smoke at night and all come and go at different times. The hotel is not very clean, rather run down.
Run down, workers from China stay here and come and go at all hours. Staff doesn’t barely speaks English.
