Our room was not what I expected
We stayed in Vella 12 what was called the master suite one of the walls needed some major painting and the view was
A stack of plywood
Zerro out of 10
The restaurant was the best part
The first loft/room was big, had quite a bit of light and the architecture was interesting. We booked a select, king room.
I found the place unhygienic and smells were covered by plug in deodorizers. First night was impossible to sleep due to leaky AC and the water leaked made us allergic Cleaning and maintenance was requested. When returning later in the day AC was still leaking and we were moved to another area. It was the last thing they could offer they said. This was behind the restaurant and lacked privacy, kitchen staff walking by til 10:30 and early at six. Wanted to drink a glass of wine and see the stars and staff continuously walking back and forth setting off a motion lamp. Saw several people walking by many times outside my bedroom window as I walked out of the bathroom, I was uncomfortable and on edge. I had to take my clothes into the bathroom to change and get privacy. The view was of the disposal area and something like a shed. I took photos I was so disappointed and sad to have spent money and wasted vacation time I could have spent at a better place at a more private cleaner place. My clothes smell of those chemical plug ins used to mask smells, two in each loft we stayed in! I believe I should get a refund.
We loved the breakfast included and the fire pit.
The jacuzzi was up a lot of stairs and took a long time to heat.
Wonderful restaurant on site with beautiful live music, jacuzzi was nice, fire pit, and so were the views from our room!
The shower was open (no curtain or door), making it cold to shower. It rained during our visit, so it would have been nice to watch a move, but the room had no TV. Also, I’d expect for lights to be dimmable for a hotel of this caliber.
Beautiful property!
Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, pleasant staff and comfortable accommodations
Nothing
The room was nice and the property is in a really nice location. Breakfast was good, though dinner was super expensive and the worst meal we had in a week.
We didn’t have wifi in our unit for an entire day because the concierge kept gaslighting us and telling us that it actually works, or that it was the weather. It took almost 24 hours of us showing evidence repeatedly for them to agree to call a technician and figure out that the issue was an unplugged router. The hotel explained that the wifi often doesn’t work anyways, so do with that what you will.
When we arrived half of the unit was soaking wet with cleaning supplies which got all over my baby. There was an empty beer bottle sitting on the patio. The water filtration system wasn’t working. The water in the kitchen sink didn’t get hot and no dishwasher so had to wash dishes in the bathroom. The “kitchen” was completely bare-no forks or knives, no freezer, None of the equipment in the gym was usable. There is no tv and just a projector, which was nice but complicated to set up (not to mention the projector requires wifi to work). Nothing was explained in the welcome book, which just contains spa treatments and tour bookings. The door made a couple loud beeps every time we opened it (even from the inside), which was really inconvenient with a sleeping baby.
The worst part is that we booked a loft thinking that would be best for the views, but they gave us the unit next to the road, so half of our view was of the fence and road. There were always people walking along the road right next to our window so it was sometimes loud and there was no privacy if we kept the blinds open. I wish would have booked a
