Do not be fooled by the pictures provided from the establishment. It appears they photographed and documented the best looking areas of the hotel, which is not uncommon. It looks like they purchased this location and revamped the lobby and main area of the hotel but everything else is in somewhat disrepair. Our room was an amazingly poor quality on the first night and we had to contact the front desk in an effort to be moved. I spoke with a male who said they would contact me the next morning when they knew availability, but there was no follow up. I followed up myself and they were able to move me to another room which was still underwhelming, but at least clean.
I took multiple photos to document the quality status of the room that we were first assigned as I could not believe this was a La Quinta or that they would even rent this room out in this state, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
Several areas of the property appeared to be in disrepair, There are several maintenance items which could be worked on to give this place a better appearance at least, but it is neglected after you leave the main office check-in area. The rooms and entryways are in poor condition. I heard another man on the phone telling someone that they assigned him a reservation, which is in S-hole location.
My suggestion would be to look into staying in Tustin, which is nearby and all the establishments there appear to be newer and a better area for restaurants and shopping options.
Staff at the La Quinta was pleasant, with the exception of speaking with the night attendant and then the next day I could not get his name to attach to the review from La Quinta.
I saw in some of the previous reviews that the manager or owner responds that they are taking care of maintenance issues, but this room appears to be an example that they are not. There is no way this room could be in this state of this disrepair in a short period of time.

Our room was awful . The bathroom
Shower ceiling had black mold all over it . You could tell where they painted it over several times . But it was still there . The a/c unit leaked water all over the carpet , so it was sopping wet the entire 4 days we were there . My son left his bag by it and his entire bag was wet . This place is not what the pictures show . We were very disgusted with our room . There was no couch , so you had to sit on your bed . After a long day at the beach , waiting for showers … no thanks .
Don't like the stay ,bedsheet and comforter has hole in it. bad smell.outdoor property.entry is good ,staff is friendly. good parking space.
