Comfort Suites Near Vancouver Mall

The industrial location

There were a couple of things that we didn't like so much about this hotel. First, the area, near the mall was a bit sketchy. There were a few shady characters walking through the parking lot and nearby, which included smoking weed, which we could smell very strong. But, the smell didn't make it into the hotel. The other issue we had were the mattresses on our 2 queen beds and the queen pull out bed. The regular mattresses sagged in the center, causing my wife and I to roll into the middle of the mattress while sleeping. This was the same on the other bed, where my children were sleeping. In addition to that, the pull out bed was very uncomfortable, due to a very warn down mattress, which didn't provide much padding or support, but rather a bar in the back. So, we didn't end up sleeping the best, due to the mattresses being so uncomfortable. These were the only issues we had for this location, but they were kinda big issues, since they affected our sleep.

We stayed two nights. We made ourself coffee the first day, but the coffee pods were not replaced, so no coffee the next morning. My husband thought the bed was a little too hard.

The morning of checkout we were rudely awakened by the manager at the door demanding the room be inspected by housekeeping right away , it wasn't even checkout time as I requested a late check out, - I worked the night shift and this had never been a problem before, i informed her we would be staying another night and would be down to the desk right away to pay, the manager which had been on vacation on our previous recent stays was very rude , stating she was waiting on housekeeping to inspect and possibly wouldn't be renting to us further, when asking what we had done that she be so upset n not want to allow us to stay she argued about discounts that we were given by staff while she wasnt there were questionable ect. I remarked that we were paid up n that we had no problems on any other occasions . I wasn't trying to argue with her just trying to understand her attitude . In hearing back from her staff that the room they had inspected was fine, I proceeded to pay for a stay over when she refused to honor the discount we were given by staff on previous stays rewarding us for staying frequently with comfort. I was embarrassed by her treatment , and said we wouldn't be staying , still asking what we had done to treated so rudely from management. Returned at a later date to find we had been banned from renting or returning in fact to the property at all. So disappointed , and never got back any deposits from any of the stays from this location !! Beware !😟

My toilet backed up, and there should be a plunger in the bathroom.

The shower needs repair, as its falling out of the wall and terrible water pressure, the shower head looked disgusting and the shower curtain even had a hole in it.
The rooms are so stuffy its hard to sleep.
The light donr work and the beds are bad lol
Why do I come back here??

One of the beds was broken: it had a coil out of the mattress.
We only got three bath towels instead of four, but that was corrected later.
The free wifi internet was not working in our room. It was okay in the lobby. I had to use my phone data.
