Families Should Avoid This Property
This was one of the worst hotel experiences my family and I have ever had, and we ultimately decided to leave because we no longer felt safe staying on the property.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed cleanliness issues. There was moisture and water on the counter/table surfaces, the room smelled strongly of marijuana, the bedding had visible stains, and the floors felt dirty and poorly maintained. The room gave the impression that it had not been properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival.
Unfortunately, the condition of the room was only the beginning of our concerns.
While on the property, we observed what appeared to be drug transactions taking place openly in the parking lot and around the rooms. There seemed to be no concern whatsoever about being seen, which created an environment that felt unsafe and uncomfortable for guests.
We also witnessed individuals repeatedly coming and going from rooms while openly discussing how much money they had made and the activities they were engaging in. This is not the type of environment any family expects when booking a hotel.
The most disturbing incident involved an adult male attempting to get my 14-year-old daughter to come back to his room. She repeatedly tried to distance herself from the interaction, yet he continued trying to engage her. As a parent, that was the moment I realized my family’s safety could not be guaranteed at this property.
To make matters worse, the customer service experience did nothing to reassure us. The front desk employee appeared bothered by guests during both check-in and check-out. There was little sense of professionalism, urgency, or concern for the issues taking place on the property.
We booked this hotel expecting a safe place to sleep. Instead, we found dirty rooms, apparent drug activity, inappropriate behavior occurring in plain sight, and a situation that made us fear for our daughter’s safety.

The room was nice the door made it look like it was the old rooms until u went inside of it a lot better on inside
The outside of the room door looked like the old rooms until u go inside
The front desk lady who checked us in was personable and nice.
Plenty of parking in a well lit parking lot ( Thankfully)
TV and wifi was nice.
Check out front desk guy snubbed me and just took key. Smell of Pot throughout facility, disabled cars in lot ( flat tires), Dog feces on grass And parking lot, refrigerator that leaked water all night and made puddles on floor. Dead bugs in tub, air in water line causing shower to spit many times, white paint (?) all over windows, rusted / rotted windows sill, stairways stunk ( urine? weed?). There was an obviously high woman sitting on the floor, outside our door at 4a.m. and 2 guys. One walked away, the other left his door open incase she wanted to go in. We couldn't leave fast enough in the morning.
Although the mattress was acceptable comfortable we questioned the cleanliness of the bedspread and prayed the sheets were clean.
The place was a scary, unclean, dump. We had another Motel 6 reservation for our next night on the road. We decided to Lose our unrefundable payment instead of chancing another Motel 6 . We stayed at a basic but Nice, friendly, clean, safe Quality Inn, in Virginia, for the same price. Augusta Motel 6 has serious issues.
