Staff was great, rooms could be better or overpriced.
Pros:

I liked the pool. It was large, decent, and the fire pit was nice. I didn’t go in because it was too cold for me but my son who doesn’t care loved it. It did feel heated I just prefer jacuzzis. It was pet friendly and I have one which was primarily why we booked this location. Staff were extremely friendly, nice, and accommodating. I give staff 10/10 even though the facility I wouldn’t.

Cons:

I didn’t like how the rooms smelled. Staff even tried to give us another room and it’s like this muskey smell. I also found mold in the painting. As well as on the curtains. We would have left if it wasn’t hard to find pet friendly hotels. The bed and towels felt clean but it felt like a smoke room even the fact that the facility is smoke free. Again, it may be mold or old carpets. For the price, it was very overpriced compared to similar places I stayed without those issues and free breakfast. To have to pay for breakfast here, coffee is only available for a short amount of time, and there wasn’t a microwave in the room causing us to spend more than I’d normally like.

Good value location for commuting to Long Beach.
Pros:

Easy access to highway. Quiet rooms. Good lobby area. Nice restaurants (shake shack and Panera bread) nearby.

Cons:

Could hear some noise from adjacent rooms at times.

I had to attend a funeral and when you need time to think the beach is a great place to go.

Best Bed & Pillows! Quiet! Cozy!
Pros:

I needed somewhere to go while my home was being painted for sale. I was utterly exhausted when I arrived. The room was quiet and cozy and the bed was amazing. Clean! The room was clean in the corners (IYKYK) and that really matters to me. I liked the toiletries available. They have housekeeping every 4 days, which I actually loved because I"m pretty tidy and no one was knocking on my door. I just crawled in and slept and had groceries/food delivered. The poor had some debris because it was windy, so I opted out. There's no jacuzzi (they turned it into a gym). The front desk staff (Iris..?) was super professional and warm. I asked for a microwave and within about 4 minutes a sweet staffer was there to deliver and plug it in. I loved that big curved sofa. Propped up my laptop and got to work. Overall it was a much needed, restful stay.

Cons:

I was going to say the hall carpets needed a cleaning, but there was a staffer doing it on like day 3 and they looked fantastic when he was done, so they are on top of maintaining the property. Look, it's not a lux hotel. The area is super basic and the views looking out at the city aren't anything to write home about. That has nothing to do with the hotel itself. But the place is a really decent resting point and the staff is well-trained. Kudos to the manager.

My stay was very pleasant, especially because of the staff and how easy it was to work with them

I love the convenience of the Sonesta and it’s location. It was not in the most beautiful area, but it was in a convenient area close to everything north south east and west very close to the beaches Redondo, Manhattan, and Santa Monica.
