According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorization must be notarized and signed by both parents, and presented along with notarized copies of their IDs.
If both or one of the parents are absent and are not staying with the minor, it is necessary to submit authorization for lodging done in person and signed by both parents or by the parent who is absent. This document must be notarized at the time of check-in.

Super clean, spacious room, great location and attentive staff. The food and drinks are great! The direct access to the beach, with staff providing chairs and umbrellas helps make the stay even more comfortable.
The top floor (wellness and gym area) was undergoing renovation when I stayed, so I wasn't able to use it.

Quarto muito pequeno, chuveiro bem ruim pois não era bem um chuveiro, mas sim um chuveirinho. Disposição da pia fora do banheiro e dentro do quarto é um ponto negativo para ter privacidade, por exemplo, para escovar os dentes sozinha ou evitar acordar seu parceiro. Faltou de espaço para colocar itens pessoais, quarto deveria ter mais ponto de apoio inclusive a pia que era bem pequena e não cabiam muitos produtos. O hotel não é ruim, mas o preço não condiz com o padrão do hotel que ficou aquém.

The facility is old, and the service is absurd: you order breakfast, and they bring everything out all at once—including hot dishes that go cold and chilled items that melt.

Fui a trabalho e por isso concluí que não é a melhor opção de estadia. Internet aberta (sem segurança para reuniões ou download de documentos). O quarto é muito aconchegante mas não conta com uma mesa e cadeira confortáveis para trabalho de algumas horas. A tranca da porta do meu quarto estava com defeito (sinalizei para a equipe mas não resolveram) e a quantidade de areia de praia no chão do quarto era absurda (limpeza inadequada). Somente um elevador estava funcionando.
Super recomendo para quem está viajando por lazer. Não voltaria estando a trabalho.
Everything is spot on. We stayed 3 nights in the small room and even if essential, it meets the standard of the hotel. The restaurant was incredible, not only for breakfast. Perfect location overall, we felt really safe. The staff has been very supportive throughout our staying.

The location was perfect to visit the city and also the best spot in Ipanema. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. The staff was very friendly. Finally, the breakfast on the terrace was very good and views were stunning too.
Room lacked a bit of storage (especially given we booked the large sea view room). The breakfast on the rooftop option in the weekend is cool in principle, but it should be the same menu as downstairs. The buffet upstairs is a bit underwhelming, compared to the amazing à la carte options.

Some Breakfast tables at the beachfront cafe side should be pre-reserved for hotel guests, in order not to queue up with external guests
Location. Best location in Ipenema for proximity to beach in a small enclave that is unique in it offer in having its outside eating space on the edge of the coastline. However, for this same reason, the hotel is located further away from Ipenemas main restaurant areas and taking a stroll further away from the beech is less secure than other parts of the ipenema coast line. Room: Small but functional, five day stay was limit on a room of this size. View, none for us, which I am OK with, the beach facing rooms must offer the closetst proximity to the beach among the whole of ipenema. Amenities: Not Great: Food and Drink offer: Not Great. This took its toll given that Ipenemas restaurants are not located near this hotel.
Security of the roadside area. Food and Drink offer expensive and at best average. Far from decent restaurants and a bit stranded away from main Ipenema action.
