Amazing location. Beach service for drinks and chairs (the only freindly staff is here), balcony views, bikes.

Cons:

Nothing worked, gym closed, only 1 working elevator for guests/staff, steam room was extremely hot and half the staff not friendly. The pool is a joke and dirty, small rooms. The hotel restaurant seems to be popular, the lobby is tinny, it gets really crowded! Def not woth the 350 dlls per night.

Lovely Place
Pros:

I enjoyed the location, right on Ipanema beach, and that the clientele seemed to be locals. The hotel restaurant had yummy food. Moysés and the rest of the hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. (I had a delightful conversation with Moysés about the regional pronunciation of Portuguese.)

Quando voltar ao Rio , com certeza ficarei no Arpoador.
Pros:

Localização excelente !
Arpoador é o único hotel no Rio “pé na areia” literalmente .
Música ao vivo muito boa , diariamente .
Atendimento excelente - funcionários amáveis , sempre dispostos a ajudar .
O hotel é tão bom que não dá vontade de sair dele …

Pros:

The hotel was in a great location, just next to the beach. I appreciated the breakfast, not the classic buffet, but a la carte, with several options. The staff was very helpful, in particular during the last day, when they helped me to communicate with the driver to go to the airport, because due to temporary road closures, it was difficult to reach the hotel.

Lovely stay in a fantastic location in Rio.
Pros:

I loved the location on the beach with no road in between the hotel and the beach. Breakfast and other meals were excellent quality. Staff was very nice and as efficient as possible for our large group of 35.

Cons:

A little worn out but totally acceptable. Many guests just coming for the restaurant was a little overwhelming.
