According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorization must be notarized and signed by both parents, and presented along with notarized copies of their IDs.
If both or one of the parents are absent and are not staying with the minor, it is necessary to submit authorization for lodging done in person and signed by both parents or by the parent who is absent. This document must be notarized at the time of check-in.

Our stay at Hotel Arpoador was exceptional from beginning to end. Waking up to the stunning beach views every morning was unforgettable, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be better. With direct access to the beach and just a short walk to both Ipanema and Copacabana, it made exploring Rio incredibly easy.
The service was outstanding and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful birthday surprise the team prepared for me. I had mentioned that I originally wanted to stay here for my birthday back in May, but unfortunately they were fully booked. The staff remembered that and surprised me with a beautiful birthday treat, which was such an unexpected and heartfelt gesture.
It’s rare to find a hotel that combines breathtaking views, an unbeatable location, and such personalized hospitality. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Arpoador for making our trip so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

The perfect spot to stay in Rio. We came to attend some conference and stayed some extra days. This is a rare (in fact only) spot that is directly at the Ipanema beach with no road in front. The hotel is nice, the breafast terace is perfect and its restaurant delivers tasty food. Staff is freiendly and we were sorry to leave after a perfect week in Rio.

Great boutique hotel at the end of Ipenema beach. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace by the beach and use of the free bikes. The beach service was great, with umbrellas, chairs and food / drink service. We had rooms with amazing view over the sea. Shame that the roof was out of action, but I’m sure it will be amazing when it is back!

A parte de sauna, piscina e ginásio deixam muito a desejar. A água da piscina estava fria, a zona é pouca acolhedora e com falta de manutenção.
