Great location and the property was kept clean. The room we stayed in was huge just a bit outdated.
The one thing I did not like was the shared balcony with multiple rooms. It felt sketchy and unsafe.
The price point and the staff.
It’s a bit outdated. The mattress in the bed did not fit the base in room 1003. The bathroom door was super heavy and hinges were rusty. Tv was extremely difficult to work, would be nice if they were more updated with a simpler remote. Better outlet option near beds, one of my charger block would not fit due to outlet place in lamp. Used a different one and it was very hot when I removed it. No ice on the 10th floor. Went to the 11th floor, no ice so had to go down to the 9th floor for ice.
I had thought the hotel was closer to the Fox Theater which was a driver for booking along with the price point for somewhere just to sleep for the night. I chose this hotel based on that i thought it would be closer as it was showing on Booking.com as one of the closest, upon check in I find out it was an 8 min walk over several blocks up and over.
The staff was great and cooperative
Parking prices, every floor smelled of mold and look like it’s been flooded before, and the rooms seemed the same way
La ubicación
El olor a marihuana por la parte de los ascensores el ruido de la calle los colchones no fueron cómodos la cortina de la bañera estaba naranja en la parte de abajo de lo sucia que se nota que no la han cambiado en dias por que ya olía feo
Food
Elevator didn’t work
Location
The room was damp, my clothes became damp, it smelt damp. The towels were stained. I had to sleep in a damp bed.. the carpet was damp and sticky so I had to wear my shoes all the time.. the sink was blocked and the shower wouldn’t get hot..
The hotel’s location is excellent - walking distance to Midtown attractions and restaurants. The elevators worked fine despite negative reviews I’d read. The view from the hotel was also great.
The room had several issues: poor lighting with one lamp not working, no hallway lights, a broken iron, and a coffee maker that didn’t heat water. The room also lacked a refrigerator and microwave. Another downside was that the bathtub drained very slowly. If location is your priority and you don’t mind basic amenities with some maintenance problems, it works. Otherwise, consider other options.
Nothing
They canceled the stay instead of moving the reservation as I asked multiple times
The location was great...the bed was soft.
I didn't like the fact that I booked mostly for the amenities and one of the main amenities was the roof top pool. Not only was the room without a fridge, phone, or microwave...the pool was closed. "renovations"
Since the room didn't have a phone, I had to go back down to front desk to ask about the fridge not being in the room..I was told I had to book a room with a fridge...huh?!
That was not an option when I booked!
Elevators were slower every time we used them...had to use them to get ice, had to use them to ask why I didn't have a fridge, had to use them to use microwave that was located next to the front desk!
Inconvenience!!!
Nice room and size
Parking not available you have to valet and that took forever
Overall okay
Renovation was in progress
After giving this much thought, there is nothing I can say that I liked about the building, room, or my overall stay. I see where there can be great improvement in the upkeep of the building, and the degree of caring from some of the staff. The functions needed in operating a hotel hinges on every staff member. When one department fail, it reflects on every one.
There was only enough bath towels for one person, even though the room was reserved for two. Then there are three(3) small flat pillows on the lumpy bed. (There was two (2) people trying to sleep in it. The televisions remote did not work. The noise level was more than concerning. The sounds were as if I was on the 1st floor, and everything was happening right outside of the window. It was not before 3a before I was able to sleep. This is after being woken up at 11p with the sounds of all types of noise. How is it possible to have a 20+ floor building with only two (2) elevators in service? There was nearly a 10 minute wait to get from the lobby to the 16th floor. Even than, there were eight (8) people cramped in with luggage. Finally, the valet attendant had the car key in his pocket, and we wanted nearly 15 minutes before it was realized. Then another 10 minutes to bring the vehicle. Although I was told I would not be charged the $50.00, I was charged. Not once but twice. The second charge was removed, but not the original.
Comfy bed and accessibility. No charge for checking in earlier.
