Fabulous stay. Tropical garden with pool and vegetarian restaurant. Owners were very accommodating, kind and helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough. Five stars plus.

Like being at home with family. Beautifully restored, great vegan restaurant, gracious owner and host.

Its owner operated everyday and it shows. Every detail is taken care of. Great vegan cafe is onsite with delicious breakfast included.

I enjoyed my one night stay here before departing to the airport. The property is a budget friendly hotel, so I wasn't expecting resort amenities. The location is fantastic, the room was clean and the air was cold. Overall, a very pleasant night.

Peaceful, tranquil relaxing oasis in the best location in the heart of Mérida Centro. Food was to die for! Beds are very comfortable, rooms are large and have air if you need it. Pool is an dream and very refreshing after walking around the city exploring. Our host Nelson, and his staff where always available and accommodating. A pleasure; we will be back.

The office staff were awful. I had a health situation & they were not kind nor acommodating. They treated us with disrespect. Never again.

Hotel Merio Munro is not just the best place to stay in Merida, it is the best place to be. Inside its thick, cool walls are stylish, simple rooms, green, peaceful courtyards, and a wonderful vegan restaurant featuring different international cuisines for a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Everything a traveler would want is there for you.

El hotel es céntrico, pequeño y tranquilo. Bueno para descansar. No hay TV y el Wi-Fi es bueno. Los empleados son muy amables, especialmente Arturo. El restaurante vegano es bueno.

Very peaceful and quiet. Courtyard and pool lush and serene. Outstanding breakfast with fresh fruit and oatmeal and very elegant setting. Vibrant colors in and around quaint property. Great location near lively squares but just far enough from crowds.

Hotel is an oasis of beauty and calm. Rooms are very big, great ventilation (tons of screened windows with shutters), pool area and garden are beautiful. Vegan breakfast is yummy and staff are extremely helpful!! Very highly recommend!!!

This was such a cute hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much. One of us liked the vegan breakfast a lot; the other one didn’t. We both agree that it was plentiful and good quality food. The bed was comfortable and it was located in a nice area. The pool was clean, if a little small. It was a little spartan - no shampoo, only one pillow each, no TV. However, the price was so good, we will be back!

Lovely place to stay in Merida. Super location- quiet area but very close to walk to great restaurants and the centre. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Super friendly and kind. Breakfast also very good. Vegan- yum fresh fruit and then every day something else different. Beautiful tropical courtyard garden and pool! Would highly recommend.

The property is beautiful and quiet! There are no TV's in any room and the walls are adobe. I loved my room as it looked out into the beautiful garden. The room was big with a king bed, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. It was warm and humid but the weather was perfect for me. I ate breakfast every day at the hotel, which is served by the nice pool they have. I also ate lunch and dinner there as well due to some rainstorms. Everything is vegan and the food is delicious but they also offer beer and wine and other aguas frescas if you prefer non-alcoholic drinks. Filiberto communicated with me and Angel was really helpful on-site. They give you a wonderful magazine with things to do in Merida. I was not interested in touristy things but you can easily walk anywhere from the hotel. The food is wonderful in Merida and there is also a great spa close by where I went twice for massages. I would highly recommend El Medio Mundo if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay that is close to the city center. Merida is a beautiful and when I go back, I will stay at El Medio Mundo again!
